Abortions decrease due to Billboard Campaign ::
‘The Citizen-Led Campaign to Save America’ -> AIP is ‘the Personhood Party’

*** Note: Abortions have steadily decreased for the past six consecutive years in Flint, Michigan, due in large part to a pro-life billboard campaign targeting African Americans that started at the same time. Contact Flint Right to Life (810-250-0218) to get a billboard campaign started in your community.

We are pleased to report that abortions have decreased in Flint and Genesee County, MI for the sixth consecutive year, reaching an historical low for the past ten years according to the 2008 report just released by the Department of Community Health.  (www.mdch.state.mi.us)
Michigan has been in a recession since at least 2003, and Flint currently has the highest unemployment rate in the Nation - in excess of 28%.  Despite our city and county being hit hard by the economy with the massive loss of General Motors’ jobs, more Moms are choosing life here.

We can directly attribute this miracle to our billboards that contain the hard-hitting truth about abortion, as well as the efforts of our Director of Black Americans for Life, Brenda Battle-Jordan.  Battle-Jordan said,  “I go into the heart of the city where the poor women live who are seeking abortion and share the truth with them about the disparity of abortion among African Americans and how we have been targeted by the abortion industry for years.  I inform them of the relationship between abortion and breast cancer.  Abortion is the #1 killer of African Americans.”

It is disturbing to see that abortions increased overall in our state, especially in Black women where they accounted for 45.4% of the abortions up from 41.9% in the previous report.   In addition, women between the ages of 20-24 still account for most of the abortions followed by women over 30 years of age.  We feel our strong abstinence message is making a difference with our teenagers, and we will continue to provide men and women with alternatives to abortion like adoption.

Credit also goes to the sidewalk counselors who pray in front of the two abortion clinics in our city and offer women other options to abortion.  We now have five crisis pregnancy centers where women can receive free ultrasounds, resources, parenting classes and counseling as they carry their babies to full term.  Together, we have a great team working to save pre-born children from abortion, as well as preventing the physical and psychological scars women face when they experience abortion.

We are grateful to all of you who donate monies and time to give every woman contemplating abortion an opportunity to give her pre-born child the right to take his or her first breath.  Great will be your reward!

Ken & Brenda Jordan

My husband and I are not only honored, but we are very excited to partner with an organization that is working hard to expose the truth about abortion in our community.  I love working with Black Americans for Life to save the lives of our little black babies who are aborted three times more often than babies of all other races combined.

I read a book entitled: “The Pivot of Civilization.” (1922).  It is a biography of Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood.  The book revealed that Sanger was into eugenics, and she claimed that some races were genetically superior and more fit to survive than others.

Sanger called for segregation of feebleminded, mental defects, imbeciles and morons stating that they should be prevented from reproducing their kind.

We can still hear her statements today as her mission is still being carried out by Planned Parenthood in their facilities across America.  All abortion clinics in our county are located in poor neighborhoods targeting poor Black and Hispanic women, and that was her goal.

We have a lot of work to do, and if you are not already involved by helping us and supporting our efforts, we invite you to join us today in this battle for the soul of our Nation.  Click the “contact us” button for more information.

The genocide threat to African-Americans continues to be one of the most significant problems facing Black Americans today. While African American women of childbearing age made up only 13% of the population in America, they accounted for 36% of the abortions in the last report done by the U.S. Center for Disease Control. Tragically, black women abort three times more often than women of other races making abortion the #1 killer of African-Americans.

In Michigan, black women accounted for 45.4% of all abortions in 2008.

Most abortion clinics are located in predominantly poor neighborhoods. In Flint, they are located at:

Saginaw Street & 15th Street

Diplomat Plaza on Flushing Road.

The number of abortions in the African-American community is even more frightening when it is compared to the total number of deaths from all other causes combined. Since 1973, over 15 million Black babies have died from abortions, more than the total of all other causes of death.

Genesee County Black Americans for Life is working to provide educational material to help Black Americans recognize the threat that black genocide poses through abortion.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjaaSldC8cYIt’s never been on a billboard, but the proof copy of a sign is still getting plenty of attention. It quotes Planned Parenthood’s Founder Margaret Sanger saying, “We do not want word to get out that we want to exterminate the Negro population.” The group behind the sign is the Flint Area Right to Life and Black Americans for Life. They wanted to put it up south of downtown Flint on Saginaw Street near I-475 during Black History Month. “That’s a direct quote of hers,” says Judy Climer, director of Flint Area Right to Life. She says it’s a historical quote and perfectly acceptable for the public. “It’s deception by keeping her quote quiet because no one really wants to know that Planned Parenthood is behind this,” says Climer. Prolife advocates say the words speak for themselves, however Planned Parenthood says they are taken out of context. Desiree Cooper, director of communications and media relations for Planned Parenthood Mid and South Michigan says, “She did not want the organization to be characterized in that way.” Cooper says Sanger was saying there was misinformation about birth control in that day, that it would wipe out entire races, and that she did not want that information spread. “It is not black history to put up something that says that people don’t want the black race to be on the planet. It’s the opposite and it’s insulting,” says Cooper. NBC25 asked CBS Outdoor, the owner of the billboard, why it did not allow the sign. A spokesperson says, “We evaluate each billboard on a case by case basis. It’s difficult to explain the nuances and context of a message on such a small space. It is not our goal to offend people where we also work and live.” Planned Parenthood says Margaret Sanger was a product of her day and that it’s not fair to judge beliefs then by today’s standards. The Flint Area Right to Life says it is personally offended by other billboards, especially those advertising adult entertainment. Click here for other controversial billboards.
