‘india’ rewrites torture Bill

If implemented, this would be first of it’s kind since 1975 declaration of HUMAN RIGHTS to put-in-effect death for death! It took india about 22 years to realize that it has supported openly GROSS HUMAN RIGHT violations and under ‘indian’ law open torture were normalized to ensure denial of ‘JUSTICE/PEACE/TRUTH/LIBERTY/DETERMINATION‘!

Would it be allowed to mend/bend these  new laws?
What loop-holes if any are in there……
While there is a play of ‘secret government’ to repeal/denounce it using ‘fake-terrorist-blasts‘!
However, we need to ascertain would past sins of civil-officials allowed to let-go?
Nov.1984.GENOCIDE ? or Kashmir killings or Gujarat Massacre ?

A quick guide to why conflict;/unrest persists in south-asia/india and how people’s right to JUSTICE/PEACE/TRUTH/LIBERTY/DETERMINATION is denied!
1. Dominion of Pakistan created on 14 August 1947. Became world’s first Islamic Republic in 1956. New city of Islamabad replaced Karachi as capital in the mid 1960s
2. British India was made up of provinces, princely states and state agencies. An independent Union of India was created on 15 August 1947 and renamed the Republic of India in 1950
3. Punjab was split in two. Majority Muslim western part became Pakistan’s Punjab province; majority Sikh eastern part became India’s Punjab state
4. Bengal divided into Indian state of West Bengal and East Pakistan, which became East Bengal in 1956 and Bangladesh achieved independence after a civil war in 1971
  5.  Kashmir has been the main flashpoint ever since Partition.

While indian ‘Panjab’ was further divided into 3 separate parts/states, thereby constricting PANJAB into mere 1/3 of

original size taken by ‘india’ and KASHMIR was left with very little hope.

Now, ever-since ‘local-people’ realized how they were being played/marginalized/side-tracked, they initially took-up-arms to resist,  however that was quickly and swiftly given quick response by overwhelming might/power.

Another way was to ‘steal elections’ and install pseudo leaders that would always counter local-peoples voice and ensure denial.

Therefore, KASHMIR in past was always seen demanding ‘FREE and FAIR  elections under UN supervision‘ but again that too was denied!

However, KASHMIR took it’s fight for justice to next level in late 2010 by protesting peacefully and facing  bullets instead. Anyways people shall be killed in any form of resistance, however peaceful and with determination they can at-least get support from international community eventually paving way for their determination.

However, as done in past to PANJAB’s right to justice/peace/truth was denied by promoting various tactics like
high handedness and flagrant human rights violations were committed,

the harassment of youth by misusing public safety act and placing them behind the bars without any rhyme and  reason is a crime against humanity, so is being implemented in KASHMIR!

KASHMIR, which has already been agreed/regarded as disputed
still get’s no respite from bullets and human right’s violations!
LINK`http`www.opinion-maker.org/2010/08/kashmir-the-voice-from-within/kashmir-resistance/`color: rgb(44, 98, 136); line-height: 1.22em; font-family: Verdana; text-decoration: underline; “LINK
The only change in indian tactics for KASHMIR now is, instead of ‘ killing’, bullets to youths/kashmir-ies are being  directed/aimed ’to injure only, in-order to counter ever increasing international pressure on india of mounting young-youth-deaths by bullets!

The Kashmiri leader’s have stated and expressed, that detention, arrests and misuse of PSA/AFSPA and other draconian  laws cannot prevent Kashmiri’s from demanding their basic rights more essentially the right to self determination.

LINK`http`www.lfhri.org/index.php/library/articles/165-tadaa-monster-handcuffing-human-rights`color: rgb(30, 102, 174); line-height: 1.22em; font-family: Verdana; `www.lfhri.org/index.php/library/articles/165-tadaa-monster-handcuffing-human-rights`LINK

Therefore international community must pay heed and understand the gravity of the situation and act in light of basic human right

context of every being of ‘PLANET EARTH’!

If not, then abolish/take-off ‘HUMAN-RIGHT’ word from dictionary and forums or UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS or ‘GENEVA CONVENTION for HUMAN RIGHTS’

Now, under the banner for “ANTI-INDIA” they want to book and offense minorities the moment they talk for liberty/freedom/peace/justice/truth…….

Wasn’t “india” that was anti-UK empire way back in 1900 century when india demanded liberty/freedom/peace/justice/truth…….?
but yes that was justified and approved by india, “india“ coined, gifted and carved by UK to world.

Would you haul up Nehru for sedition?

First Published : 29 Nov 2010 04:52:08 AM IST
Last Updated : 29 Nov 2010 08:36:00 AM IST

HYDERABAD: Toeing the line of prominent writer Arundhati Roy, working president of the Committee for the Release of Political Prisoners, professor SAR Geelani today said that former prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru should also be booked under sedition charges, as he had made a statement similar to what the writer did recently.

Geelani was participating in a press conference at which he responded to the direction given by a Delhi court yesterday to register an FIR against seven persons including Arundhati Roy, Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Varavara Rao for making anti-Indian speeches at a seminar on Kashmir in New Delhi on October 21. SAR Geelani was in the city to participate in a programme at English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU).

I feel the issue of FIR against us is a result of ignorance and the disinformation spread by the Indian establishment for 63 years,” Geelani told reporters.

SAR Geelani said that the people of Kashmir will once again take up arms if the demand of self-determination is not conceded by Indian government. “Presently the agitation in Kashmir is going on in a non-violent manner after several years of armed struggle. Since the last five or six months, 112 persons, mostly youth, were killed by the armed forces for taking up peaceful agitation.

Self-determination is the birth right of Kashmiri people,” Geelani, a Delhi University professor who was acquitted in the Parliament attack case, said.

He also said that Kashmiri people took up armed struggle only after exhausting all peaceful options since 1947. “But no one paid heed to our desires and aspirations when we took up our issues peacefullyIt was only in 1980s after people took up armed struggle that the government started heeding to our problems,” Geelani said.

Referring to some of the historical aspects, Geelani said that it was the Indian government which referred the Kashmir dispute to the United Nations but failed to follow several resolutions passed by UN in support of self-determination for the people of Kashmir.

Geelani criticised the Indian media and especially Indian movies for projecting Kashmiri people in a negative light. “Media has been maligning the movement by giving it a communal angle. So my request to them is to kindly report facts,” he added.

Revolutionary writer Varavara Rao, who also participated in the press conference, said that the sedition cases had to be registered against several leaders including Mahatma Gandhi, Jaya Prakash Narayan and all the prime ministers of India who dealt with the issue of Kashmir, for treating Jammu and Kashmir as a disputed site or supporting the argument of self-determination.

He also brought an analogy between the ongoing movement for a separate Telangana and the Jammu and Kashmir issue.

“We are proud that we were declared as traitors. Legally speaking, Jaya Prakash Narayan, AB Vajpayee and Gandhi should be booked for sedition.

When people of Telangana have been asking for self-rule, what is wrong if the people of Kashmir ask for self-determination. Both are aspirations of the local people,” Varavara Rao said.

Court moved over ‘anti-India’ speech by Kashmiri separatist

Sify - ‎17 hours ago‎

Chandigarh, Nov 27 (IANS) A human rights activist Saturday filed a petition in a local court demanding registration of a case against Kashmiri separatist leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq for his alleged anti-India speech at a seminar here earlier this week.

Judicial Magistrate Paramjeet Kaur fixed Dec 1 for the hearing.

‘Separatist leaders like Mirwaiz should not be allowed to move freely in public as they can severely disturb law and order situation of the country,’ petitioner and lawyer Arvind Thakur, chairman of an NGO Global Human Rights Council (GHRC), told IANS.

‘We strongly condemn his speech and want Chandigarh police to book him,’ he said.

‘It was very unfortunate that Mirwaiz gave a provocative speech in which he said that Kashmir was never a part of India, and easily went away. We want our judiciary to take serious note of this incident and direct police to book him.’

The Mirwaiz was also roughed up by displaced Kashmiri pandits and Hindu right-wing activists, who objected to his alleged anti-India and anti-Kashmir comments, at a seminar here Thursday.

During the seminar, protesters climbed tables and attacked the separatist leader. After the incident, Chandigarh police rounded up 21 people, including seven women.

The local unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has also demanded action against the Mirwaiz.

‘We will not remain a silent spectator to these anti-national activities. A delegation of the BJP would meet Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Shivraj Patil on Nov 29 and demand a probe in the whole episode,’ said Sanjay Tandon, president of Chandigarh BJP.

‘We also demand that a case registered against our party activists should be withdrawn failing which we will start an agitation,’ he added.

No room for separatist forces in city: BJP
Tribune News Service

Chandigarh, November 27

“Being a responsible political party, the Bharatiya Janata Party will not allow the city to become a platform for separatist forces,” said Sanjay Tandon, president, local unit of the BJP, while addressing mediapersons at the party headquarters, Kamlam, in Sector 33, here today.

This comes in the wake of the November-25 incident when during a seminar organised by the International Democratic Party at Kisan Bhawan, Sector 35, separatist leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was allegedly manhandled.

If the IDP wanted to raise the issue of Kashmiris, why doesn’t it raise the issue of Kashmiri Hindus, who have been forced to live as migrants in their own country because of terrorists/separatists of Jammu & Kashmir, he said.

Criticising the role of the Chandigarh police, Tandon said they were supporting separatists and torturing nationalists.

“They booked innocent people who were raising slogans against Mirwaiz for his anti-national remarks,” he said. Instead of registering a case of sedition against Mirwaiz and the organisers, the police registered a case against patriotic audience.

In spite of listening to their voice or cause, the organisers and their goons along with Kheta Singh and Karnail Singh started pushing and manhandling innocent public, and threw them out of the seminar hall. The police also registered false cases against peaceful protesters who were raising their voice against anti-nationalist people.

He said while the Chandigarh administration denied permission to the BJP to organise “Abhinandan Samaroh” in Sector 27 and even prevented farmers from protesting within the city, it allowed anti-national and separatist leaders to take part in a programme in the city.

A delegation of the BJP will meet Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Shivraj Patil on November 29 demanding a probe into the episode.

He also demanded the booking of those who assaulted BJP activists and Kashmiri Pandits during the seminar and stern action against them. He also sought the withdrawal of case registered against party activists, failing which the party would start a “jail bharo” agitation.

This should be noted as an example, how minorities are subdued and subjected to unprovoked attacks like November.1984.GENOCIDE or Gujarat massacre of Muslims…..in INDIA!

FATEHGARH SAHIB: The Dal Khalsa today strongly condemned the attack on Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in Chandigarh by group of Kashmiri Pandits and Vishwa Hindu Parishad.

Party head H S Dhami said the assault was planned with the connivance of the state administration to deter the resolve of the Kashmiri leadership in reaching out to Indian civil society to muster the support for their cause.

Pertinently, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, was heckled and roughed up at a seminar in Chandigrah after he reportedly gave a speech in favour of Kashmir’s independence.

“A group of Kashmiri Pandits and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) supporters, who were behind the fracas, are basically cowards. Why don’t they (Sangh Parivar) go to Kashmir or Srinagar and stage their protest against separatists over there”, said he.
He said Mirwaiz was a guest of Punjab and Chandigarh and assaulting him during his visit to state was against the spirit and rich traditions of people of Punjab.

The attack was third in series, first in Delhi against Geelani Sahib, then in Jammu against Shabir Shah and now in Chandigarh against Mirwaiz. It’s a systematic and deliberate move to instigate Kashmiri youth to retaliate by targeting and insulting their leadership in public outside Kashmir.

Fed-up by ‘indian propaganda machine‘ that simply tarnishes images of KASHMIR/minority just like
we witnessed during 1984 GENOCIDE where in NOV.1984.GENOCIDE thousands of innocent minority
were slaughtered openly. Kashmir people have taken unique step to inform indians about their issues.

MEDIA BLACKOUT/misinformation is one of the tactics INDIAN-GOV applies to DOWNPLAY MINORITY ISSUES to WORLD.
More-now since, they are gaining world STAGE having alliance with ISRAEL and US!

People would recall during the ERA of 1980′s and especially during 1984 GENOCIDE, international media was shunned-out
from INDIA including HUMAN RIGHTS groups!……

Ironically ISRAELi people who witnessed and reported horrific 1940′s GENOCIDE have now joined hands
with india and is quite about GENOCIDE by india……..on WORLD STAGE….”state of the world today“!
Were Nuremberg Trials only valid for ISRAEL?

WHILE INDIA IS in SEVER GRIP of COLOSSAL CORRUPTION from TOP to BOTTOM by majority,
minorities gets no respite still!

Minorities, especially SIKHS should render every help for the safety/justice/truth of KASHMIR people.
It is only in time like these, SIKHS were ordained to help those who seek PEACE/JUSTICE/TRUTH!

Srinagar: Emphasizing the need of countering the “misleading propaganda” of Indian government and media vis--vis the Kashmir situation, Hurriyat Conference (M) Wednesday said it would gear up efforts to apprise the Indian public about the “gross human rights violations and infringement of political and religious rights of Kashmiris.”

In this regard, the amalgam’s chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and senior leader, Bilal Gani Lone today left for Chandigarh to attend a seminar, on November 25, titled “Jammu and Kashmir problem with reference to Indo-Pak relation.” The seminar has been organized by Internationalist Democratic Party, a Chandigarh based non-governmental organization.

“Besides the seminar in Chandigarh, the two Hurriyat leaders are also scheduled to attend another seminar, ‘Jammu and Kashmir the way forward’ in Kolkatta, the capital of West Bengal. The seminar has been organized by a local non- governmental   organization, Centre for Peace and Progress” a spokesman of the amalgam said.

The Hurriyat leaders, the spokesman said, will also meet the envoys of Organisation of Islamic Countries and  Muslim and Western countries in New Delhi. “The envoys would be apprised in a detailed manner about the curbs imposed on the political and religious rights of Kashmiris and would be urged to use their influence and pressurize India to put an immediate end to the unabated human rights violations committed by its forces in Kashmir,” the spokesman added.

The spokesman said that while the while word knew about the Kashmir issue, the Indian government and  a section of Indian media were distorting the historical facts about the Kashmir dispute and keeping the Indian public in ignorant about the worst kind of human rights violations committed against Kashmiris by government forces.

“The need of the hour, therefore, is to take all practical steps to inform the Indian public, civil Society and justice loving orgsanisations about the present situation in Kashmir and seek their support for our cause,” the spokesman said. (PBI)

Kashmir: History in making or what?

Ok, so-far everyone witnessed everyday protests or curfew, however now a change in campaign, per below report/news.

The message is clear and simple, they know what they want  and  are united.
There are ways to do things if you plan it properly and know what you want.
Carefully check and look how the  dates are organized,   what do you see?

Lets see who gets the bigger picture?

Quit Kashmir calendar: 7 days strike, 3 days break

Srinagar: The Hurriyat Conference led by Syed Ali Shah Geelani Saturday issued a fresh protest calendar for the next ten days as part of the amalgam’s ‘Quit Kashmir

According to the fresh protest calendar, the amalgam has asked people to observe complete shutdown and civil curfew on September 27. Hurriyat have been asked people to apprise the global community about the “grave situation in Kashmir through the internet.

On September 28, the conglomerate has asked people to observe complete shutdown and stage peaceful demonstrations from Zuhr to Asar prayers against forces’ excesses while as people have been asked to observe September 29 as a “normal day”.

September 30 would be strike again and people have been asked to stage peaceful protests from Zuhr to Asar prayers while as October 1 would be observed as a “normal day”.

There would be complete strike on October 2 and people would protest peacefully after Friday prayers while as on October 3 besides observing a complete shutdown people are appealed to march towards Baramulla in order to pay tributes to the martyrs of Tangmarg and Palhallanm,” the amalgam said.

October 4 has been exempted from the purview of the strike while as people have been asked to observe complete strike on October 5 and march towards the frontier Kupwara district. On October 6, people have been asked to observe a complete shutdown and stage peaceful protests against “state crackdown”.

Meanwhile, asking people to trust the pro-freedom leadership, Geelani said the freedom movement is “dearer to us more than our lives and no one would be allowed to weaken or undermine”

He said at a time when India had “failed to curb our peaceful struggle on the ground, it is now resorting to cunning tactics of  spreading rumours and false information through its agents in Kashmir.”

He said the recent statements of UN general secretary, Ban-Ki-Moon , Organisation of Islamic Conference and British MP, David Miliband were “encouraging”  and appealed theinternational community to help the Kashmiris get their right to self determination .

He said the Kashmir issue was no   border dispute between India and Pakistan and the two countrie cannot find any solution to the issue without taking the wishes, aspirations and sacrifices of Kashmiris into account.

He also condemned the re-arrest of Bar President Mian Qayoom under Public Safety Act and asked International Red Cross to take notice of the deteriorating health condition of Shabir Shah, Ashraf Sehrai  and other pro-freedom leaders. (PBI)

Back to Kashmir issue: History in making or what?

While Kashmir is under curfew ‘day and night
politicians discuss solution outside Kashmir curfew ‘day and night‘!
Sounds simple but solution is not so simple,
so another day required to resolve.

On the other hand india and pakistan blame each other and the day is over and night falls!

Pakistan pleads for US intervention on Kashmir

NEW YORK — Pakistan on Tuesday urged the United States to pressure India over Kashmir, saying recent unrest showed that New Delhi and not Islamabad was to blame for trouble in the Himalayan territory.

On a visit to New York for a UN session on Pakistan’s devastating floods, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi insisted his government wanted peace with India but tore into its rule of Kashmir which he called “oppression.”

“The occupation cannot continue. The rights of the Kashmiri people cannot continue to be denied,” Qureshi said at the Council on Foreign Relations, a think-tank.

“We call upon the United States particularly, which is pressing so responsibly for peace in the Middle East, to also invest its political capital in trying to help seek an accommodation on Kashmir,” he said.

“Such an accommodation would not only be just for the people of Kashmir but would be critical for peace in the region,” he said, warning that “terrorism… has fueled and thrived on blatant examples of social and political injustice.”

President Barack Obama’s administration is seeking a broader relationship with India but also friendlier ties with Pakistan, a key battleground in the fight against Islamic extremism.

India considers Kashmir a domestic issue and rejects any foreign involvement. The Obama administration has steered clear of Kashmir after early statements triggered a backlash in India.

Kashmir, a Himalayan territory with a Muslim majority but a sizeable Hindu minority, has been disputed between India and Pakistan since independence and triggered two full-fledged wars between them.

An insurgency erupted on the Indian side in 1989 but had subsided in recent years. Indian authorities, along with some outside experts, say that Pakistan actively supported Islamic guerrillas who sneaked across the frontier.

But in recent weeks, waves of protesters have turned to the streets to rally against Indian rule in Kashmir. Security forces have shot dead more than 100 demonstrators.

“At times it’s easy for the Indians to look toward Pakistan and blame Pakistan for everything that’s going wrong in Indian-occupied Kashmir,” Qureshi said.

But he said “no one any longer can seriously believe this.”

“Can Pakistan orchestrate thousands of people? Can Pakistan plan, sitting in Islamabad, a shutdown all over Kashmir?” he said.

Life between the curfews in Indian Kashmir

Life between the curfews in Indian Kashmir

SRINAGAR, India — For much of the summer, Srinagar in Indian Kashmir has been a ghost town: all shops shut, streets deserted, and eerily silent. Until the curfew is lifted for just a few hours.

Stalls selling fruit spring up on every corner, noisy traffic jams fill the lanes, and residents rush out to buy fresh food, medicines and toys for their children.

Srinagar is the summer capital of Kashmir, a Muslim-majority region that has endured more than three months of deadly clashes between security forces and protesters who want Kashmir to be independent from India.

To thwart public unrest authorities impose curfews that can last for several days at a time. Anyone caught outside risks being beaten or shot by paramilitary troops and police.

Srinagar’s one million residents can still be found down back alleys, where men lean in doorways arguing about politics, while their families watch endless television or play cards inside.

“It’s miserable because we are living under military occupation,” said Arif Jan, 40, a shopkeeper in Nowhatta district near the town’s biggest mosque.

“My family stocks up on rice and lentils when we can. That is how we live.”

For Showkat Ahmed, the curfew meant he could only get to his wedding with a special permit and a police escort.

Sitting nervously in the back of a red Maruti hatchback decked out in plastic flowers, Ahmed was driven at high speed through the empty town in the middle of the afternoon to meet his bride.

“The curfew means my sisters can’t even make it to my wedding,” Ahmed, a 28-year-old shawlmaker, said. “I am worried about my relatives at home and want to get the marriage ceremony over so I can return to them.”

Normally Kashmiri weddings are night-long affairs with hundreds of guests. But no celebrations had been organised for Ahmed and his new wife. “In the future, I just want a normal life,” he said.

Shops selling wedding decorations are among the first to open their doors when curfew restrictions are briefly lifted, but business is grim.

“I have waited 10 days for this place to open so I can buy pieces for my brother’s costume,” said Ali Wangnoo, 23. “But I don’t actually know whether his wedding is going to happen. Kashmir is a mess.”

Mohammed Yunus, the shop owner, said he had been closed for three weeks until Tuesday when the curfew was relaxed for just four hours.

Such conditions for ordinary people mean the tourism industry has also been decimated.

Srinagar boasts Mughal gardens, a mild summer climate and elegant houseboats sitting on Lake Dal in front of mist-wreathed mountains.

Before the rebellion against Indian rule erupted in 1989, travellers from around the world were drawn to Kashmir’s culture and scenery.

Many returned after India and Pakistan, who have fought two wars over control of the region, began peace talks in 2003 and as militant attacks dropped dramatically.

But any optimism has disappeared with more than 100 civilians killed since June 11 across Kashmir as security forces fire live rounds at stone-throwing anti-India protesters.

“On the 600-700 houseboats there is hardly one tourist. I haven’t had a single guest since the violence broke out in June,” said Rashid Dongola, 55, owner of the Hilton Kashmir houseboat.

As soon as the curfew is lifted, a few hand-paddled boats cross the serene lake carrying vegetables to market. Scores of boats laden with shawls and colourful papier-mache boxes used to vie for tourists’ attention.

Now there are none.

“This should be high season for us,” said Dongola, sitting in his houseboat’s grand wood-panelled interior. “My boat is rotting here and I can’t afford repairs.”

With schools shut for months and hospitals running short of supplies, the price of living under the curfew is high. But few Kashmiris doubt their cause.

“We know what we want,” said Sajjad, who runs a convenience store in the old town. “In the cause of Azadi (freedom) we choose to face the bullets, and we give up the chance of living an easy life.”

Kashmir: History in making or what?

Here are some thoughts from independent writer ‘Raja Mujtaba‘,

Today I was to write on Pakistan’s internal situation that is pathetic due to corruption, favourtism, nepotism, inefficiency to say the least.  People of Pakistan have lost total faith in the present political setup, they are demanding Army takeover to bring law and order in the country besides installing an efficient and honest government of no more than 25 technocrats who would build the socio-economic  foundations of the country.

The government is busy in denying every truth and fact that they are confronted with. It’s in every party’s tradition to lie and lie so loud that it better be accepted as truth. Here PPP is no exception therefore all the ills have become political culture in Pakistan.

Now Yousaf Raza Gillani who has been very subtly asked by Angelina Julie to come over to Hollywood for your looks and running the government is a very serious business. The Prime Minister had to admit the irregularities that he been doing in appointing his jail mates to lucrative posts like Chairman Oil and Gas Development Corporation and so is his cabinet busy in making their day as if tomorrow won’t come.

Dr Imran Farooq’s murder in London has caused a scare in all sane minds. People are whispering about the murder as an inside doing of MQM. Imran farooq was an important founding member of the party but now he had been suspended or expelled for the last two years. It is believed by most that his elimination had become a must or it was feared that all the secrets of MQM would be out that could endanger Altaf Hussain’s life.  As the days pass more and more details will unfurl but all depends on the honesty of British government and Scotland Yard.

As the situation in Kashmir gets more tense more and more attention it would get. What India claimed to be an outside interference rather openly blaming Pakistan can no longer hide the truth. Now the truth has entered the stage where it has been accepted as self-evident truth. Its proof is that Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) dubbed as ‘Oh I C’ by Mahateer  Muhammad for its inaction and disastrous  performance. OIC has never had a coherent voice on an issue facing the Muslim World. Today its Secretary General has shocked everyone when he has demanded that New Delhi needs to take immediate steps to bring the violence in Kashmir to an end.

He also recounted that “India and Pakistan have fought two wars over the disputed region of Kashmir. Protesters have stormed government troops for three consecutive summers calling for Kashmiri independence from India or a merger with Pakistan.” The Secretary General needs to refresh his knowledge, India-Pakistan have fought four wars besides the years long constant war of attrition across the cease fire line now known as Line Of Control, courtesy Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Naming it as LOC was a secret acceptance by Zulfiar Bhutto as the de-facto border between the two countries but he never had the guts to speak the truth and inform the public. The fear of public backlash was far greater than the mileage that he wanted to draw.

In fact OIC should call an emergency meeting on Kashmir and draw a comprehensive policy to force  India to respond to the voice of the Kashmiri people and accept their just demand of self determination for a peaceful solution of Kashmir problem. Let it be known to all that now Kashmir problem can not be shelved or put on the backburner. Here onus also lies on Pakistan to play a leading role in activating and mobilizing the Muslim world and the other world bodies to see peace in Kashmir. Without the settlement of this issue, there can be no lasting peace in the region, nor India and Pakistan will have any fruitful friendly relations.

Today I was sent two videos by my contact in Srinagar where Parvaiz Bukhari, an independent journalist based in Srinagar, has given his views on the latest situation prevalent there. What Parvaiz Bukhari has narrated leaves no room for any padding or reporting. It’s very comprehensive that covers all the details.

Kashmir valley is seeing the third consecutive summer of protests against the Indian security forces. 18 people were killed only on Monday by security forces in Kashmir after thousands took to the streets in defiance of the curfew, protesting the rumored burning of the Koran in the United States. Since then the police have arrested for inciting this violence a local leader of the National Conference Party of the ruling coalition in the state. Six more have been killed last week, including three last Friday. Civilian death toll since June 11, when the current round of protests began, has crossed 90. The government banned all local TV channels on Monday. Other severe restrictions have been placed on the media and journalists.

To find out more about life in Kashmir, we spoke with Parvaiz Bukhari, an independent journalist based in Srinagar, Friday evening in Kashmir.

In part 1 of the conversation, Parvaiz describes the recent events, the curbs on the press and the current security crackdown.
II   In part 2 of the conversation, Parvaiz sets the recent events in Kashmir in context and describes his own personal experiences and observations of living under the current siege.

Raja Mujtaba has over 25 years of writings behind him. His focus is on the Muslim World in particular and all other

areas where humanity is subjected to injustice, suppression and killings. He sees the world as a global living but not part of the New World Order that is a Zionist Agenda. His conviction is that there can be no peace without justice thus the root cause to every problem must be identified and addressed. Justice leads to peace that develops love

New strategy by ‘indian army‘ not to be disclosed, the news said.

Is it one of the new army/military secret device, that controls complete population protesters by ’stealth’? or divide and rule strategy?
