There is SNOW inside the crack. They don’t bother to measure the heat with any instruments. This is BS.

Let’s try using some standard brainpower here:

      1) Stick your hand in nearly any hole, and you’ll feel both moisture and the “sensation” of heat (some caused by standard subsurface temps, and some reflected from your bare skin). Moisture can feel like heat.
      2) Ground subsidence is neither dramatic nor new.
      3) Decomposition of a large volume of organic matter can produce the sensation of warmth, and even slope failures like this.

If you want to make a point, try using a thermometer. “The snow is melting away from the edge” just isn’t true, using the video as evidence. If you’re trying to imply geothermal heat, you’re cuckoo.

      “Heat, much heat, down here.”

The crack out back! been watching Carney and his crack for a while now, I think he really is onto something, it could be a cauldera, like he thinks, we will be keeping an eye on him, and hoping that he is wrong, for him and his family’s sake!

If this were authentic, he should be going through the proper channels – the USGS, not youtube.

Lots of specilation but no real proof.
This is really something that should not have been discovered. Someone’s head should role for this.
The truth is its a vent,,, a air vent for the hundreds of miles of undergrond tunnles that the NWO-Elite have have built for when they have to go and live under the earth to ecsape the desaster they are planning to bring on the fear and need for a ONE World Government to save the world from the 9 billion humans they say will ruin the earth for them.

and No, I am not a Science Fiction writer from the Pulp Fiction 50s an 60s.

Wait until all those NEW World Order Elites and their children go to live in the cities under the earth and see how much heat their sinfull bodies generate.

      Come back to earth, Anonymous.

Youtube is the most respected academic journal in fringeland.

If you do a simple search online, it is easy to find facts and info surrounding the research that has been done regarding this odd crack in the earth. Mocking a news report before you have taken the time to do a related search or any other kind of fact finding search is immature and wasteful. Test the claims and video. Do your own research. Then come up with something intelligent to report instead of your own shamefulness.

I do I Google search and all I get are results from other fringe websites. What links can you provide that are credible?

    • Anonymous

Se777en….you can find this video on you tube, it’s called my crack out back, d one by carnetart, he has 3 video’s (i think) on his site, documenting from the discovery to the presant time (this video).

Come on, heat melts snow!!! My third grade teacher told me so.

    • Anonymous

Next time make sure you melt the snow in the whole before you show it on video.. Iyou you were standing 4 feet or more above the hole and you felt that much heat on your face, I bet the dang snow would be melted near the hole. I may have born at night but not last night..

If all of you credible research scientist with all of your wholesome educated selves would do a search at http://www.datelinezero.com and http://www.fox11online.com as well as fox video on you tube; type in the search engine one of the following: Michigan’s mysterious crack”, “Mysterious U. P. crack”, or “Mysterious crack still begs answers”, you might find that a Michigan Tech University Geologist has already been to the sight and has a credible explanation for it. His name is Wayne Pennington. He claims that there is about 20 ft. or so of clay on top of hard limestone and that a small earthquake occurred. There is more. But I will leave that up to you to figure out.

#1. Datelinezero.com is a fringe news website. They link a video titled “HEAT RISEING FROM err MY CRACK OUT BACK” in their article? Yeah. Sterling journalism.
#2. The fox11online website, which is considerably more credible, has no mention of heat coming from the crack.
#3. The BS is that their claim that “Oh! I can feel heat on my face 4 feet away!” yet there is still snow inside and all around the crack.

Seems like some of you people would even argue in support of a reporter if he/she posted “2+2 now equals 3″.

    • godsontoo

The bottom line is that they have crack in the suburbs of Michigan not just Detoit.
