Significance of a pc graphics card

Hi guys,

This post is written for a newbie PC gamer or for someone who is planning to buy one. I just wanted to give a heads up to everyone of those newbies out there who plan on buying a computer. If you are going to use it for PC gaming, then buy a decent graphics card too.

The normal video card cannot run a good game. A game that has been released after 2009, a good one, will not absolutely work on the rusty old video card. I’m saying this to you because I have gone through with this. I made the mistake of buying a crappy useless video card and ended up waiting for a game to load for half an hour.

A good graphics card can cost you up to $200. A decent one can be bought with less. Besides, you will be spending a good amount for buying a PC in the first place. So, why not put some more cash into it for gaming. If you want to play games that is. Anyone who likes to play video games and knows something about it will say that a PC gaming rig is better that X Box, PlayStation or any other console out there. Even Wii cannot compete with the PC gaming level of standard. (Unlike laptops) a PC can be upgraded to suit the requirements.

I am saying this again, this is only needed for gaming. Unlike RAM (Random Access Memory) or memory of processor, a graphics card has no other use than that of gaming. All other activities can be done by a normal video card. A good one can be bought from Intel, Nvidia, Radeon, ATi. Also, look for the card’s memory too.
