Egypt's troops shoot Morsi supporters, at least 1 dead, US blamed

The US is being blamed for Egyptian troops shooting dead at least one Morsi suppoter at protests Friday as huge crowds continue to pour into the square outside Rabia al-Adawiya mosque.
Troops opened fire Friday on supporters of deposed Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi, killing at least one person at a demonstration outside the building where Morsi is reportedly being held.

“In the chaos, the precise number of casualties was not clear. Witnesses said several protesters were injured, and some news outlets reported that multiple people were killed. The violence added to concerns of an escalation between Morsi’s mostly Islamist supporters and their decades-old nemesis, Egypt’s powerful security forces, two days after the military forced Morsi from office,” reports the Washington Post.
“There are Americans and Zionists behind this,” a speaker said in a loudspeaker at the mosque where some men wept.
