How to Send Private Emails Without the Government Knowing About It

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

I love the smell of napalm in the morning. Private Emails in this Day and Age!

There is one nifty, little secret that will enable you to send private emails, using google or yahoo or whoever, without the government knowing it.

It used to be that mail was sacred. Nobody went through the mails. It took a major effort to get a subpoena to get into your mail.

I’ve got your email right here!

Then along came email. It replaced the mail, and, suddenly, the government found it could get into your private email without all the bother of subpoenas and the fourth amendment.

So the government suddenly feels the need to pry and poke into everything.

What are they scared of?

They aren’t using the email to catch terrorists, or they would have gotten the Tsaernov brothers! Or they would have caught Major Hassan!

But, instead, they just want to poke into the private affairs of law abiding citizens!

What is the government really afraid of?

Why are our leaders acting like paranoids asscunts?

Okay, rant off, info on. Here’s how you send emails without the government knowing it.

You log in to your google account, or yahoo, or whatever. You prepare a draft. You don’t send it. You log off.

Your brother-in-law, two thousand miles away logs into that same account as you. He looks at the draft, then erases it.

Mail is never sent!

All you have to do is set up one account that two people, or more, have the password to.

Now, eventually the government will tumble to it. Edward Snowden, after all, claimed that the government could read your computer while you were working on it.

I don’t think so. Not yet, because if you look at the info packets in and out of your computer there just isn’t enough information going out to think that the government is doing this yet.

But, eventually you’ll have to find some other way, or maybe just bite the bullet and send a real mail.

Real mail tends to get where it is sent without the government opening it.

But, for now, this clever, little trick will enable you to talk about whatever you want, with whoever you want, without the prying and obnoxious eyes of Big Brother poking into your affairs.

      good idea!

Mixing it up any way possible is a great idea.

Actually, this won’t work, either. Those “drafts” are saved by Yahoo, Gmail, etc., too. Go look up how General Petraeus’ emails were revealed.

“I don’t think so. Not yet, because if you look at the info packets in and out of your computer there just isn’t enough information going out to think that the government is doing this yet.”… Sigh. It takes maybe a 14KB compressed file to take all the URLs and keypresses for 24 hours of normal PC activity. When the average web page nowadays has over 1MB of graphics onboard you really think you are going to notice that much data leaking? Its a mistake to think the watching always goes on in real time. After all they do want ALL your computer activity and not just what you happen to do when online.

All windows based computers are key loggers so I can not see it working.
Face to face and snail mail.

yeah the government already knows about that little trick, al qaeda was using it ten years ago!

This entire article is incorrect. Yes, they can monitor everything you do by compressing and sending the data once every hour/day/week/month. No, there is no way to communicate securely except with private, encrypted RF-based networks because the NSA has interfaces to every ISP or, at the very least, the up-stream networks (Level 3, etc.). Yes, your IP address on the outside of your modem/firewall/etc. can be tied directly back to your MAC address through various means (DHCP leases, layer 2 caches, etc.). No, the data that is encrypted on the RF network will not withstand an NSA-level attack on its encryption. So…

A system of communication using RF-based networking and encryption and sending only brevity codes should suffice for keeping what you are doing out of the NSA’s reach for a few hours or, if you are lucky, a bit longer. A proprietary, monolithic or routable protocol being used over an encrypted RF network may give you a bit longer (for the first few message sent over it). But as soon as you touch the Internet your commo is compromised and the NSA “big ears” will pick up your RF too. Even proprietary encryption from some big brains will be broken by NSA sooner or later. That is the business they are in when it comes to their actual charter.

Anything that is sensitive-enough to warrant this type of communication is probably tactical (hours) in nature. Strategic (days or longer) information should never be sent over a network (data or voice).
