Be prepared. Sooner or later these people will be right.
What economic crash? Who cares? We stood up after every so called crash. I did not even notice the last crash. Was too busy fishing and enjoying life.
People need to hunker down where they are! Do not leave now! Just because these guys say so? Please, these people surround themselves with like wise people and they all become paranoid.
Back in 2008 Quayle was saying then to take your money out of the banks! Money has been safe in banks for the past 5 years since he began saying that!!!!
Be prepared – yes! But do so from where you are! No one knows exactly when the SHTF.

Quayle was right. Your money in the banks has been losing value. Precious metals are one way to maintain your wealth (how small or large that may be). We started buying PMs 10 years ago and the value of it has gone up not down like dollars. That said … the collapse is coming and even though very few know when (those that pull the stings), when it comes, if all you have is dollars … you will soon have nothing. Hard assets are the way to go. As a boy scout, our motto was “Be prepared.” … still holds true. This coming crash will be worse than anything this world has seen … ALL the economic indicators point to it.
Precious metals, forget it, you can’t eat it and you or I are not going to be allowed to truly own it, even if you have it physically in your hands, it will be taken from you. Forget it, we need food water and shelter, get to the basics, fuel also to keep warm. We’ll all be in the same boat, either we ban together to survive or they will just keep taking us out of the picture, one by one, your wealth first and then everything else, that’s the truth….God Help Us….
During and economic collapse, barter will rule: if u can’t eat it, get warm with it, or use it to provie fror your food, shelter, transportation needs, it’s toast
RE: Elbowoods, muckracker1, If you are counting on a total collapse of every system, then you could be right. That’s not what has happened in every other hyperinflation event though so I’m counting on some things working. True stocking up on food and energy is very valuable – done that. But if they are going to take your PMs or what ever you use to store your wealth, they can take that too. So where does it end? How far will it go? Don’t know. But we need to do what we can to prepare. You said “God help us!” Agreed … but we have to know Him first. If we all get right with Him, it will a lot easier for us all. My fear is that we are past that point and this country will not turn to Him unless something happens to wake us up. And then it will really be too late.
I think the crash has happened we are trading on borrowed time IE refer debt clock, we are accruing 1 billion debt every single day, this is not sustainable even for the US , where are the real cutbacks as if we dont get our house in order it certainly will come crashing down.
