Employees  from Japan’s TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi plant have located a crack in the bottom of a tank that may have leaked 300 tons of radioactive water or more in August, Japanese media reports. This comes as the company seeks to reopen another nuclear plant.

Japan’s Nuclear Regulation Authority said last week it feared the disaster was “in some respects” beyond Tepco’s ability to cope.

TEPCO, is a Japanese electric utility servicing Japan’s Kantō region, Yamanashi Prefecture, and the eastern portion of Shizuoka Prefecture. This area includes Tokyo. Its headquarters are located in Uchisaiwaicho, Chiyoda, Tokyo, and international branch offices exist in Washington, D.C., and London.
