Mystery Illness Strikes 2 Alabama Schools, Kills 4 People In Texas (Video)
Robbie Stubbs, emergency preparedness coordinator for the Alabama Department of Public Health, said 27 students and one teacher have sought medical care for the condition. Eight students are still in the hospital for observation, she said, and are in stable condition.
The folks over at The Anomalist think this is “eerily similar to an even larger-scale illness that knocked out nearly 500 students participating in a band competition 30 years ago in Nottingham, England. In that incident, 259 people were rushed to the hospital with respiratory issues and fainting. No explanation was ever found.” Is this the same thing? Alabama seems to have a knack for mysterious illnesses.
In related news, 4 people have died in Montgomery County, Texas of a ‘mystery’ illness of flu like symptoms. It would seem that the world is always on the edge of a zombie apocalypse or something like captain tripps from Stephen King’s ‘The Stand’. It’s one of my worst fears.
