St. Louis Snow Radiation Twice Normal Level: STAY OUT OF THE SNOW

Readings from snow blanketing St. Louis contains double the normal radiation amount, garnering more concerns that the ongoing Fukushima nuclear catastrophe is impacting areas of America, even in its heartland away from beaches.  

“The radiation return from the snow precipitation is returning DOUBLE the normal background amounts. Normal background in this area is approximately 30CPM,” writes YouTube user DutchSinse, with a video documenting the readings.

“This means small particles of radioactive material are indeed coming down in the precipitation. Past tests show around 30CPM in the same spot on a nice day with no precipitation,” DutchSinse says in the YouTube video below.

Snowstorms in 2012 also showed alert level radiation readings, according to the popular YouTube activist.

“A rainout is when a radioactive cloud passes over an area and, due to a coincidental rainstorm, the hot particles get dropped on the soil,” explained Arnie Gundersen.

Gundersen is a ormer nuclear industry senior vice president who earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in nuclear engineering, who holds a nuclear safety patent, and was a licensed reactor operator. 

His advice? Stay out of the snow and rain!

As early in the Fukushima catastrophe, rain in St. Louis was testing 178 times normal bacground radiation level.

As this author reported this weekend, Geiger counter readings from a beach in San Francisco returned results five times the “safe level” of normal background radiation. This has prompted federal officials to launch an investigation, despite local authorities saying it was not a health hazard.
