WW3 Update: Poland Mobilizing Its Reserve Army

At least 7,000 reservists have been recalled to the colours for immediate exercises lasting between 10 and 30 days.
They’re told by the Polish authorities that the call-ups are “routine”: but the men say they haven’t been asked before and they’re well aware of the growing alarm in Warsaw at President Putin’s aggression.
Three weeks ago, their Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, called a press conference to warn that “the world stands on the brink of conflict, the consequences of which are not foreseen… Not everyone in Europe is aware of this situation.”
Interesting. I am not aware of any other military movements by another nation except for Belarus. Polish has every reason to feel uneasy as historically they have been the doormat of greater powers. Namely Russia and Germany.

Poland was easily taken in WW2 due to lack of equipment and relying on horses for transport
Russia defended Moscow at all costs so it was not actually recaptured, and Stalin sat idly by waiting for the germans to slaughter the freedom fighters for him before going into Leningrad.
If your country is Russia, lets not forget they signed an agreement with Germany prior to the Polish invasion and were double crossed when Germany then went on to invade Russia.
Russia is not the mighty power they once were and Putin knows this
Unless Exxon-Mobile and Shell are at war over a new gas or oil pipeline or somesuch planned to go through their country, the Polish probably needn’t worry. On the other hand, if there is, get out of the way fast.
A little more research. Yup, the Poles need to worry. Gazprom wants to build a new gas pipeline through Poland and the Poles aren’t buying it unless there is significant local investment. Here:

But it’s more complicated than that. Gazprom is the Russian competitor of Resneft (a close ally of Exxon-Mobile). Where Exxon-Mobile-Resneft doesn’t want a pipeline, there will be no pipeline or there will be war.
