I wish these calls to come to the aid of our country were heeded by more citizens of the US but the cold hard facts are that they won’t. At every one of these calls for change only a handful of people actually show up. Everyone knows that when a situation becomes as eroded as that of our fed government there is only one way to fix it. All the safeguards put into place by our forefathers have one major flaw. That is that our forefathers depended upon the population being patriotic, knowledgeable about current events and for the most part honest. They also fully expected the population to take matters into their own hands in the event that the fed government collapse or become rogue. What we are seeing now is the result of a population, for the most part, that could really care less what happens as long as it doesn’t effect them personally. Our forefathers never envisioned a society as narcissistic as ours has become. Had they been able to see into the future and know then what is happening now they would have simply walked away from the Constitution, Bill of rights and any other grandiose idea of a great nation undoubtedly shaking their heads in disgust. Despite these great mens historic ideas and creation of the most free nation on the planet, it is we the people who have still managed to undo all their hard work and are rapidly turning the US into exactly what our forefathers so adamantly opposed. So all of you who have sat on your butts and done nothing, risked nothing, spoken nothing in defense of your own country can now stand and take a bow as there is no one else more responsible for the nations downfall than yourself. You must surely be proud, because it is obvious you have no pride in your country.
