Just remember one thing, that the feds haven’t calculated yet. When this all starts to fall down, and there is no more ‘money’ to pay salaries, their mercenaries won’t be there to do anything about protecting their posts. They’ll tell you ‘nothing will happen, we’ll still issue pay’, but in fact, there is a recent historical precedence for this. Russian-Afghanistan forces in 1989. Troops started deserting en-masse, because of the collapse, and when pay didn’t get to them, they started walking off.

No one has further considered, when it all starts falling apart, that million-man mercenary force will quickly lose half, maybe more, of their troops when money is no good any longer, because if you are a police officer, a soldier, etc., and even if you ARE paid, that no one will sell you food for your off-post family, that you will take off and do what you must to feed your family FIRST.

I highly doubt that ANY of this has been fully taken into consideration by the feds or military. Can they hold out for 30-days? Absolutely. 60-days? Probably not. 90-days? No way, and that is EXACTLY what happened to the Russian contingent in Afghanistan AND their naval yard at Vladivostok in 1989. You can’t feed hungry troops on promises.

This is ANOTHER oversight that differentiates this event from America’s first civil war, where we still used gold as well as paper money, as well as barter, to trade for goods. Sure the Europeans will try to do this, and do that, but since they are also cash-strapped, it really will come down to military forces turning rogue, roaming bands of pirates, and far worse.

I don’t see this as going down in any way, like the fools who planned it envisioned.
