(Video) Police Beat Innocent Family Man 50 Times In Head: Mistook Him For A Drug Dealer They Were Chasing

 In an apparent case of mistaken identity, family man Roger Carlos was beaten by the San Antonio Police undercover drug task force officers and two SAPD SWAT members because they fought he was a drug dealer that they were in pursuit of.  Roger Carlos was taken photos of a building on Westover Hills Boulevard that his wife may soon buy for her medical practice when all of a sudden he was approached by 3 officers. Carlos told ch 5 news that:

 “All three of them started beating me on the head,” “It was unbelievable. I couldn’t believe it was happening to me.” Carlos said that the police beat him in the head about 50 times, even though he obeyed the officers and never fought back. It wasn’t until a fourth officer approached and said, “that you have the wrong guy, we have the real suspect in custody”.

Carlos told the the I-Team, that “he could understand taking somebody down hard. I can understand the need for that and securing them, but that’s not what happened. I got on the ground, I was no threat to anybody, I was fully compliant,” said Carlos, who has no criminal history.  

So dear reader, you are probably thinking that by this point in the story, the police would maybe at least apologize to Mr. Carlos for putting him in the hospital, or maybe even discipline the officers that beat him. Well, you would be dead wrong on that. 

Listen to what SAPD Chief William McManus said. “From the report that I’ve read, from the photo that I saw and from your description, I’ve not seen anything at this point that would indicate to me that anything out of order happened.”McManus said officers reported that Carlos kept his hands underneath his body when he went to the ground, and officers had no idea if Carlos had a weapon.”I want to be clear, I’m not sitting here in prejudgment,” said Chief McManus. http://www.kens5.com/story/news/investigations/i-team/2014/07/24/sapd-investigation-man-beaten-west-san-antonio/13014559/
