The police departments around the country have been receiving military style equipment, all in the guise of keep us safer from ourselves and any other enemy that can be dreamed up.The new and ongoing SWAT Team raids that are usually done at the wrong house, the no knock raids, which has already gotten one cop killed, and the botched raids, typically ending in someone being killed or injured, but no arrests. You may not have heard the phrase “militarization of police“, but you’ve probably seen the process in action. Whether in an unstable foreign land or in your own country, various groups are claiming that local law enforcement and military are becoming increasingly intertwined. But why? What happens next?
