You need to ensure anyone posting videos uses video codecs that are standard, and not ones that may have trojans and viruses attached to them. Yes, this is a BIG deal… to not do so, would be highly irresponsible of BeforeItsNews.
The codecs used to play back a video are the responsibility of the end user who installs them on their machine. Posted videos can be scanned by BIN using an antivirus and are scanned by your antivirus when you stream them. I’d be more concerned about click-jacking (if I didn’t use NoScript).
