Putin very comfortably speaks off the cuff….NO teleprompters….says EXACTLY everything PRECISELY….with perfect explanation and understanding…BEAUTIFUL…a BRILLIANT man…a very likeable man. And….he holds nothing back that needs saying.
The American propaganda has Putin as a fire eating, breathing Red Bear but that is not true.
Never thought I’d see the day when the Russian President makes sense.. he’s right super delegates pretty much negate our elections.
Of course Zakaria had to find out if Putin really appreciates Trump, and he outsmarted Putin by letting him fall into his own trap. Putin got personal with Zakaria, then almost got personal with Trump, and at the end went on defensive mode, as if not being interested in America, and implying that America is the great interferer in matters of others by vouching Russia’s innocense. He went on to say though that America is today the only superpower, but even that didn’t sound totally honest in view of his other statements. That made Putin look angry and snappy, even if he didn’t want to present publicly in that way. I think there is a smarter way to convey a message of learned skills, than that of putting it on plain sight for others to see.
It makes a person look very weak if he makes positive statements about other person, but then refrains from actually esteeming him professionally, even if it would be just for the sake of courtesy. That tells something about the character of Putin, he is still the same KGB spy who was given orders: never ever trust anybody, if you commend somebody for some reason, you will befriend him, and if you do that, you get emotionally involved and compromise your mission. But that doesn’t work in connected POLITICS, because politics is all about getting connected to the surrounding world. Unless you want to be isolated for good, what is the real challenge for the lonely and unrecognized warriors. They tend to be forgotten for the very same reason they are remembered.
