EVER WONDER WHY THEY CALL IT THE "CALM BEFORE THE STORM"?.....

Do you know why they call it “the calm before the storm”? It’s because everybody stops talking, squabbling or bickering long enough for everyone to notice an uncommon, even peculiar, ‘calm’ just before something BIG, such as a storm, takes place. It’s that one last collective gasp people take in unison, before pandemonium ensues. I wonder if what I’ve been hearing, or to be more accurate, what I’ve not been hearing as of late, is not the tell-tale gasp of our nation drawing it’s last ‘united’ breath. He hits the nail on the head. It’s going to take more than ‘termites holding hands’ to keep our ‘ship of state’ from cracking in half when a big enough ‘wave’ hits. Be it a ‘wave’ of terrorism, natural disaster, a political upheaval, an economic failure, or a wave of abject national apathy; Those areas of our nation populated by those who tenaciously endeavor to act as Arland D. Williams did in the Potomac, if and when the time comes, will certainly fare better than those who choose to remain divided.
