(Before It's News)

Christopher Columbus who was heralded for “sailing the ocean blue in 1492” is the latest victim to fall to the overarching lunacy of political correctness. In fact, Christopher Columbus is now regarded as a white exploiter of Indian tribes, bring white men’s diseases from Europe and initiating the changing of the culture of the noble nomadic tribes, living in teepees and hogans, communicating via smoke signals and drums and without written languages.

President Benjamin Harrison established the Columbus Day holiday in 1892, the 400th anniversary of Columbus’ landing in the “New World” in 1492.

Next, the District of Columbia along with the cities Columbus, Ohio, Georgia, Mississippi and Indiana, will be forced to change their names .Americans of Italian heritage should be outraged, but even Phoenix City Councilman Sal DiCiccio, whose parents were Italian immigrants, voted to go along with the program, rationalizing that Phoenix doesn’t observe Columbus Day as paid holiday. The move won’t rename an established celebration, as other cities have done — yet.
