Night sights and optics maker Meprolight launched new versions of its FT Bullseye pistol sights aimed at six models of guns.

Included in the round-up are the Sig P226 and P320, Smith & Wesson M&P and M&P Shield, H&K VP9 and Remington R1 pistols.

The FT Bullseye takes the idea of sight picture and turns it on its head. Normally, shooters acquire sight picture by aligning the front and rear sights. Meprolight eliminates the need for that front sight by creating a lens and reticle on the rear sight. When the dot is centered in the circle, the gun is on target. The company says this design tweak allows for a more intuitive shooting experience which provides quick and accurate shots on target.

The FT Bullseye uses tritium combined with fiber optics to achieve a bright sight even in low-light. The sight requires no batteries and offer a sleek, low-profile design that works alongside most holster choices.

Available in either red or green, the FT Bullseye retails for $199.
