2Corinthians 4:4  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 

John 18:36  Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

The flesh is temporary, it will soon pass away. Your spirit is dual in nature. It must be made whole before you pass away in order to be reconciled back to God the Father and enter back into Heaven.
