Meteor "Shook Earth" | Space Rock Puts on Big Show in South Africa | Possible Impact (Video)

Eyewitnesses in South Africa the morning of June 15 just before sunrise saw a huge meteor that according to some accounts may have hit the earth. One witness says it did and that the earth shook following a loud ‘bang’. Earth’s atmosphere has been handling a debris cloud in the recent days-weeks and it appears some of this debris isn’t so small.

Cool it. There has been a lot of serious activity today.
Phd: That’s a message board post, about a meteor in Minnesota, and the meteorite came down in a lake. The OTHER post, about a meteor in South Africa, reported the object disintegrated in the air. Two different things. And different from the June 10 large object the video starts with.
(I won’t believe a witness who says an object came down, in a particular spot, unless/until I hear the witness describe the trajectory curving to vertical, or near-vertical. The South African witness said, “a flat trajectory.” That’s something way up in the air, on its way to meet the horizon.)
Later in the video, other South African observers reported seeing an object breaking up in the air. One reported sound, at his location.
The point of the video is: there are a lot of meteors these days. And one mixed-up person at a message board doesn’t change that fact.

You obviously didn’t read the article at the link I supplied. Did you even read the link? – SouthAfrica/News/shooting-star-lands-on-farm. The link IS news24 and is a very interesting article about a shooting star or meteorite that crash landed on a farm in Richmond, Kwazulu Natal at around 6 am on Thursday, 15 June, 2017. Oh, and; I know exactly what is going on in South Africa – I live here too; have done so for 63 years. I also read every day about what’s going on in the rest of the world.
This is a dandy year for cosmic impact events.

I just saw what was probably an asteroid miss the earth by about 150 miles
My guess is it had to have been about a mile across because you could pick out two mountain peaks on it but could not see detail. It might make the news, but passing over Mexico it might get missed.
