Rothschild Invest Corp. “Invests” In Bitcoin Per SEC

Although this move should surprise no one, a few crypto currency advocates are less than thrilled the Rothschild family now owns about $210,000 worth of bitcoin. Others don’t seem to mind that the wealthiest family on earth is now involved in crypto currency.

Rothschild purchased the Bitcoin via the GBTC (Bitcoin Investment Trust) investment vehicle.  SEC articles signed on Friday indicate that Rothschild has diversified into crypto currencies and now owns a whopping $210,000 worth of GBTC.

Most know that $210,000 is not all that much for the Rothschild family though.   The public move is making some leery of the motives of the family, while others seem to think it’s a positive boost for the infamous crypto currency. The cryptocurrency market, especially Bitcoin, continues to slowly grow. In June, Bitcoin reached a high of $3,018. But recently, it dropped below $2,000 before rebounding to over $2,300 in the middle of July. Currently, Bitcoin price index stands at $2,384, meaning the Rothschild bought while the currency was kind of high.

Although most don’t like that Rothschild has suddenly taken an interest in crypto currencies, many claim that the motives are inconsequential. But could the motives of Rothschild be more sinister? Or is their purchase of the Bitcoin simple to “diversify” as originally touted?

There doesn’t appear to be a consensus on why the Rothschild family, worth over a $500 trillion, is investing what amounts to almost nothing to them in Bitcoin right now.

Interestingly, two days ago @anonnews posted an article called “Rothschild Controlled Media Outlet: ‘Get Ready for a World Currency by 2018’ – Did They Mean Cryptocurrency?”

Regardless of the reasoning, the Rothschilds now own a small chunk of crypto currency.
