Federal Premium drops new line of dual-purpose Train + Protect ammo

Minnesota based Federal Premium Ammunition announced a new line of dual-purpose ammo called Train + Protect, designed to offer shooters more versatility.
The Train + Protect series serves as practice ammo on the range as well as carry ammo for open and concealed carry enthusiasts. The competitively priced rounds boast Federal’s versatile hollow point, or VHP, bullet. The series currently offers three popular handgun cartridges. Included in the lineup is a 115-grain 9mm, 180-grain 40 S&W and 230-grain 45 ACP.
The rounds provide precise yet practical performance at the range combined with reliable expansion on impact. The result, according to Federal Premium, is “the ideal combination for training as well as defending yourself and your loved ones.” The company says each round is loaded in order to produce consistent performance with each shot.
The series is available in 50 round or 100 round boxes with prices ranging from $30.95 to $66.95. Federal says shipments of the new ammunition are currently being delivered to dealers nationwide.
