Vucic: Hoyt Yi told me "you have to respect this, if you do not - think about the consequences"

THE PRESIDENT of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said tonight that the pressure on Serbia and him is great, as well as that all the great powers coming to Serbia are concerned about their interests and that they do not cooperate with the opposite side.

“Serbia sits on its chair, until it can, no one can guarantee it, but in the second instance when it can not be, we will have someone else in the Serbian government, but also in the position of the president of Serbia,” Vucic said, adding that nobody he does not like, not on one side, except for the citizens of Serbia.

He said that the great powers will not change their position on the independence of Kosovo.

Speaking of a conversation with US official Brian Hoyt Yi, he said the conversation was difficult.

Vucic said that the main topics were Kosovo and Russia, that the United States supported the “territorial integrity of the independent state of Kosovo” and that the US stance that Kosovo was an independent state and that it should not change, and that Hoyt Ji told the Serbian list that he must be separated from Belgrade and must cooperate with Pristina.

“We talked about Kosovo. He told me that you can not touch the territorial integrity of Kosovo, and I said, and you can nine years ago to reflect on the integrity of Serbia … He made it clear to me that it is nice that you said it, but it is a message USA. When it comes to the fact that Hoyt Yi said he was worried about Russia’s influence in Serbia, Vucic said that he had told the US official that he understood well what he wanted and that he understood the message, but that Serbia would act as an independent, sovereign and that they will make their decisions.

When it comes to the murder of the Biti?i brothers, Vu?i? said that the United States has a marked culprit and that it must be so, because if it does not, the United States will not be satisfied.

“If the Cabinet of Vojislav Koštunica does not directly blame the burning of the embassy, they will not be satisfied,” Vu?i? said.

“They threatened us, they said that our careers were ready if we did not accept, I did not want to accept that,” Vucic said.

He said that a few days ago in Belgrade, behind closed doors, met with a senior EU official and that he talked with him about five o’clock. He added that he was asked why they were pressuring Belgrade when it delayed 24 hours with the implementation of the agreement on the judiciary with Pristina, while Pristina did not warn when 1,660 days were not formed by the Community of Serb municipalities.

Vucic said that the EU undoubtedly binds Serbia’s ties with Russia, and that it is second to the big powers that Serbia did not recognize Kosovo.

“There will be more and more pressure,” Vucic said, adding that Serbia must harmonize its foreign policy with the union before joining the EU.
