Weather anomolies continue: More than a months worth of rain in 36 hours.
December 1, 2017: THE Bureau of Meteorology has warned of a weather conditions that could threaten lives as Australia’s south east stares down what is being dubbed a “vast, intense, high impact weather event.” And it’s not just Victoria — just about every capital could get drenched. Parts of NSW could get “more than a month’s rain in 36 hours”. Victoria, Tasmania and NSW are now officially on flood alert. There are now fears three months of rain could fall in just a few days across Victoria with 300mm mooted in some areas as a front powers through southern Australia aided by tropical moisture further north.
“It is an event that poses a threat to life, there will be a massive amount of lightning, there will be roads cut, flood waters,” he said on Thursday. “Those thunderstorms will gradually all weld into a massive, great rain band, and that band will spread down across the state on Friday night and Saturday morning. “This is a vast, intense, high-impact event for this state. I think this event will turn farms into lakes.”

A Trio of Extra Full ‘Supermoons’ You Don’t Want to Miss – ‘Super Blue Blood Moon’ Coming
The lunar eclipse on January 31 will be visible during moonset. Folks in the Eastern United States, where the eclipse will be partial, will have to get up in the morning to see it. But it’s another great chance to watch the Moon. The Moon will lose its brightness and take on an eerie, fainter-than-normal glow from the scant sunlight that makes its way through Earth’s atmosphere. Often cast in a reddish hue because of the way the atmosphere bends the light, totally eclipsed Moons are sometimes called ‘Blood Moons.’ The January 31st Supermoon will also be the second full Moon of the month. Some people call the second full Moon in a month a Blue Moon, that makes it a super ‘Blue Moon.’ Blue Moons happen every two and a half years, on average. With the total eclipse, it’ll be a royal spectacle indeed: a ‘Super Blue Blood’ Moon. Sometimes the celestial rhythms sync up just right to wow us. Heed your calendar reminders. On the three dates marked, step out into the moonset or moonrise and look up for a trilogy of sky watching treats!

The Strathbogie Ranges, within the Great Dividing Range, recorded the most rain on Friday according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
Mt Wombat, about 150 kilometres north-east of Melbourne, had 123mm up to 10pm.
If you live or are holidaying in the Harris Lane and Wallace Drive in Buckland in the state’s north-east or the surrounding area you should prepare to evacuate now.
An official emergency warning has been issued, with heavy rainfall overnight expected to flood the area making the bridge over the Buckland River impassable.
If you are in this area prepare to evacuate now.
What you should do:
Act now – take immediate action to protect your life and property.
Gather any essential medicines, important documents, mementos, photos and pets to take with you if you evacuate.
Have three days’ supply of clothing and medication packed and ready to go.
If possible, contact your neighbours are aware of the situation and check if they need help.

Options to evacuate to include:
A relief centre has been opened at the Myrtleford Senior Citizens, Smith Street, Myrtleford.
Family or friends homes located in a safe location, away from flooding.
If you require accommodation call the Emergency Relief Centre at Myrtleford on 0448 835 195.
If you are unable to drive or need assistance to evacuate phone the relief centre on 0448 835 195 before 11pm.
Victorians ave been warned the worst of the storm sweeping the state is yet to come, with a least 40 millimetres of rain expected to lash Melbourne overnight.
The Great Victoria Bike Ride is the latest to fall victim to the wild weather, with organisers announcing the annual event has been cancelled.
The Bicycle Network said they were forced to halt the ride on Friday evening. It leaves more than 1,500 riders remain stranded at a Maffra campsite with plans to transport the group back to Melbourne and Trafalgar in the coming days.
“We’re very disappointed that we can’t continue riding but the wellbeing of our riders, volunteers and wider team always comes first,” Bicycle Network chief executive officer Craig Richards said.
Another casualty of the severe weather is the Puffing Billy stream train in Belgrave, which has been shut for the weekend, despite a children’s Christmas event.
“We regret to advise that due to the predicted major weather event, Puffing Billy Railway has cancelled the Santa Specials taking place on Saturday and Sunday,” a statement said.
“With the amount of heavy rain expected, we expect it will affect both the car parking conditions and result in some of the children’s attractions being unable to operate.”There is now a Major Flood Warning for the Kiewa River.
Earlier tonight, we reported there had been Major Flood Warning issued for the Ovens and King Rivers too.
VicEmergency is now warning major flooding is likely to develop in the Ovens and King catchments on Saturday morning.
Since 9am today, rainfall totals of up to 79 millimetres have been recorded in the Ovens and King catchments. But that’s just a taste of what’s to come.
Three-day rainfall totals (for Friday, Saturday and Sunday) of up to 200 milimetres are forecast for the state’s north east, with peak totals exceeding 250 millimetres possible across the ranges.
This rainfall is expected to cause significant and rapid stream rises. If the rainfall is in the upper range of the forecast, major flooding is likely to develop during Saturday morning.
A VicEmergency Watch and Act warning has been issued for low lying areas of the Myrtleford with people urged to prepare to evacuate now.
“Leaving early is always the safest option,” the warning said. “Emergency Services are concerned that with the rainfall still to come overnight, that floodwaters may rise rapidly. If you wait until tomorrow morning, it may be too late to leave safely.”
Floodwaters are continuing to rise and a Major flood warning has been issued for this area.
The peak (highest) flooding is expected to impact the low lying parts of Myrtleford about lunchtime tomorrow.
If you are already prepared to leave you may do so now.
What you should do:

The safest evacuation route at this time is the Great Alpine Road. Keep watch for any floodwater or debris that may be over the road.

What is RARELY being covered, anywhere, is the cause of the huge increase in worldwide crustal instability and accompanying weather events. Supermoons never made the news until recent years; now they are an increasing occurrence. The moon’s orbit is off, and not by a little….it’s former orbit took it 5 degrees above and below the ecliptic plane each YEAR. It now moves through dozens of degrees of latitude per MONTH. Swing a tennis ball on a string about one’s head, slowly raising and lowering your clenched fist, and you’ll have some idea of the moon’s new orbit.
The Moon’s orbit no longer tightly approximates a ring about the center mass of the planet, but instead reaches northern and southern extremes as it’s orbit bounces up and down, much like the tennis ball example. Now imagine when the most stress on earth’s crust is reached….that’s right, when, like the tennis ball, it reaches the northern and southern extremes in it’s now more eliptical orbit. The stress is made worse, given the fact that the earth too, now orbits the sun in an even more exaggerated spiral, which, depending upon the location of the moon, when it nears it’s bi-annual solstices, either increases or decreases these effects. The moon coming in for close passes in December, and early january especially, do not bode well for the ring of fire.
Remember, the moon not only tugs on trillions of tons of sea water, but the molten magma which is twice as dense as sea water, sitting just below earth’s very thin crust.

After last nights bottle of Jack I only read as far as crusty then realised that’s how I feel.. Hibernating and it’s officially Summer here!
Australia. We had a week of 35 degrees Celsius (Hot) clear blue skies and overnight it’s completely covered as far as u can see sorta like that Lil pic at top minus hurricanes.. But it’s sat still for four days now and it’s waiting and brewing and waiting. We’re expecting three months of rain in 24hrs. Floods already started yesterday.. It will be the biggest in over a hundred and twenty years… Funny thing is we are 3 DAYS INTO SUMMER ! We do get yearly floods its what makes the dessert bloom but not this big and it should have happened in September around texas hurricane /oceans dissapearing time… Even all the “Normal” blind sheep are saying thiers an unnatural feeling in the air and we have mass lightning it’s beautiful!!!!! : this is definitely going to cut our power but looking forward to the show.. Hope the dog doesn’t have a heart attack though!!!!! If there’s something in space I wouldn’t have a clue? Can’t see sht! The Bali volcano does this like perfect clockwork every single year because there is a UFO base there. Look into it … I shit you not.
