Daniel 9:24 “Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place.

Not to mention the prophecy regarding 70 from Zechariah

Zechariah 7:5  “Say to all your people and your priests, ‘During these seventy years of exile, when you fasted and mourned in the summer and in early autumn, was it really for me that you were fasting? And when you were eating and drinking, were you not just feasting for yourselves?

Zechariah 1:12 Then the angel of the LORD said, ‘O LORD of hosts, how long will you have no mercy on Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, against which you have been angry these seventy years?’

It is clear that the 70 weeks or years time period is now up. We see the armies encompassed around Israel even though they are battled other battles, they have still be gathered around Israel and soon then will turn their attention upon Jerusalem. War is coming, it is not simply a possibility, it is an inevitability. They have basically untill their 70th anniversary. God has timed everything out perfectly according to his will.
