The App That'll Literally Get You Killed & Twitter's Outrageous Warning!

Maybe social media platforms believe we just don’t have enought tyranny!

Twitter’s legal department issued TGP’s Associate Editor, Cristina Laila a warning that she violated Pakistan’s blasphemy laws over a tweet where she called for burkas to be banned in the United States.

The specific Pakistani blasphemy laws she violated are punishable by life imprisonment or death.

First of all that this woman would call for the violence of government to come down on somebody just because they wanna wear a particular garment shows her bent toward authoritarianism. To want to impose your will on someone else and use the force and violence of the state to enforce your will on an innocent person is immoral.

On Twitters side of things…think about this….Twitter, an American company, warned an American, on American soil, who was exercising her First Amendment rights, that she broke Pakistan’s Islamic blasphemy laws.

In a years-old, since deleted tweet, Laila called for the burka to be banned; this offended the Pakistani government enough to force Twitter to spring into action.

Laila tweeted,

“Burkas should be banned in the United States.

Not only are they highly oppressive to women,

we have no idea who or what is hiding underneath

the garment. Americans are used to seeing

people’s faces and a burka breaks down non-verbal

communication between people in public.”

With this one Tweet, this woman reveals her blatant disregard for the right of an individual to wear whatever they damn well please. If a woman doesn’t want to wear a burka in the US…she doesn’t have to wear it. If she’s being forced to wear it, that’s another issue. I don’t see a lot of woman who wear burka’s complaining that they’re wearing burkas. And what’s this “we have no idea who or what is hiding underneath the garment” comment? Do you know you can say this about ANY garment? You can hide a firearm under a pair of shorts and any deadly device under pretty much anything. So we’re gonna force someone to NOT wear something because people who hold a religious belief are forcing people to wear something? That makes us just as bad as them.

The teachings of violence against innocent people in Islam is sufficient to condemn itself…we don’t have to add to the violence by calling for the violence of government…which is what happens when you start banning stuff.

Anyway…here’s how twitter responded to this.

Jamie Glazov, a Canadian columnist and critic of Islam received the same warning from Twitter after he tweeted out his new book “Jihadist Psychopath.”

So what are these particular Pakistani laws?

Section 295B criminalizes “defiling the Holy Quran,” and carries a penalty of life imprisonment. 295C mandates that those who “by words, either spoken or written, or by visible representation, or by any imputation, innuendo, or insinuation, directly or indirectly, defiles the sacred name of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) shall be punished with death, or imprisonment for life and shall also be liable for fine.”

So, not only will they imprison you and kill you….they’ll make sure they steal your stuff while they’re at it. That’s government for ya.

Pamela Geller also received the same warning from Twitter after she criticized Sharia enforcer, Linda Sarsour.

Facebook also enforces Sharia blasphemy laws and Google just approved an Android app for Muslims to report people who insult Islam and Mohammed.

They banned Alex Jones’ app…but you can use an app that ensures the death of people who break or criticize certain Islamic beliefs and laws.

Thanks Twitter…thanks for making sure the internet is a safer, less oppressive place.
