I stayed in an old mill on a river, converted to a Bed & Breakfast Inn, while attending a friend’s wedding in Massachusetts a few years ago, and the background interior of this painting came from photos I took in my room that weekend. The figure was added to the scene from snapshots taken with a model about a decade ago.
