Asteroid NASA warns of 2 Jumbo Jet sized asteroid heading Earth’s way Wed and Thursday!

ASTEROID EXCLUSIVE: NASA warns of JUMBO JET-sized asteroid heading Earth’s way WEDNESDAY TWO huge asteroids the size of jumbo jets, that each could destroy a city or WORSE, are set to brush past the Earth on Wednesday and Thursday. NASA is monitoring the “close Earth” flybys as just a small deviation in their orbit could see them on a collission course with the planet.

The first, expected to pass by on Wednesday is a 33-metre long space rock, while the following day’s is 46-metres across. NASA experts say anything from 150-metres in length upwards would have the potential to cause global devastation should it land in the sea, by causing tsunamis, or on dry land. Scientists this week moved to quell growing fears that a monster asteroid will crash into our planet destroying humanity in late September, after conspiracy theorists’ claims went viral online. But they have monitored asteroids the size of a bus, tower block and another jumbo jet pass by near to our planet last week. An asteroid of around 46 metres size hitting the earth would not lead to the end of world, but if it struck in a populated area it could cause horrific local destruction, death and injury.

The last similar sized asteroid to enter earth’s atmosphere was the 1908 Tunguska Event which saw a 50-metre lump of extraterrestrial explode above Siberia. It flattened around 80 million trees and sent a shock wave across Russia measuring five on the Richter scale. The event is held by scientists as a benchmark for the catastrophic consequence of an asteroid impact with earth. NASA religiously monitors any asteroids or comets that are expected to pass within 4.6million miles of the centre of the Earth – which are called “close approaches”. It sounds a huge distance, but they are considered a potential threat because their going off course by just a fraction could bring them in closer or even for a direct strike.

The “tower block” and first “jumbo” flew past at 4.4million and 4.2million miles respectively, but this week’s second and third plane-sized rocks are coming in even nearer. The first next Wednesday will brush past at just 1.8million miles, with the next day’s larger one a bit further at 2.1million miles away. The last major-sized asteroid that could have wiped out the planet and caused real concern among astronomers, despite being just under 6million miles away – much further than the impending ones, was just last month. The gigantic missile thought to measure almost a mile across brushed past at 30,000 miles an hour closer than many previous monsters which have sparked a global panic.
