2. Dubai Shopping Festival

For one month starting in December and ending in January, the city of Dubai hosts the world’s largest shopping festival. The entire city is decorated with lights and special promotions while events happen all over the city.

The festival attracts the most exclusive brands from all over the world to showcase their products and offer deep discounts to shoppers. 73 brands participated in the most recent festival.

Look for the daily raffles and giveaways to really score big. Also consider buying the all-access pass so you can attend exclusive attractions, tours, and experiences during the event.

3. Burj Khalifa

No trip to Dubai is complete without a visit to the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa. Be sure to purchase the sky package which includes a visit to level 148.

You will be 555 meters (0.34 miles, or 1,820 feet) up in the air. Enjoy the sky lounge and interactive motion sensor experience to learn about Dubai’s most famous landmarks.

Your visit to level 124 features avant-garde high powered telescopes to view the city. Level 125 offers 360 views from the tower and a virtual reality experience.

The Burj Khalifa is also home to the world’s highest restaurant. Once you’re done, take the tunnel to the world’s largest mall.

4. Dubai Underwater Hotel

Unfortunately, the Hydropolis, a totally underwater hotel never came to fruition.

Today you can book a “room” as the cruise liner functions as a floating hotel and attraction.

6. Dubai’s First Smash Room

If you are looking to relieve some stress, the smash room provides you with the ability to break stuff. They offer a selection of packages based on the amount of glass and electronics you are looking to destroy.

The smallest package is the quickie which lets you break 10 glass items. The largest package lets you break 45 glass items and 3 electronics.

First, you will be outfitted in safety gear. Then you’ll pick your smashing weapon of choice. All that’s left is to unleash your rage on some glass pieces or old electronics.

7. Dubai Desert Safari

Take your pick of dune bashing, camel riding, or 4×4 SUV cruising. Then pick whether you want a morning, evening/dinner, or overnight experience.

For the dinner experience, you get to eat a traditional barbeque while watching fire shows and Tanura shows. For the overnight experience, you are provided with everything you could need for a night under the stars.

8. Skydive over Palm Jumeirah

This isn’t just skydiving–you’re going to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Palm Jumeirah Island. You can book a tandem jump, a spot in the school, or go on your own if you’re a licensed skydiver.
