Noahs Ark and the Great Flood, Did it Really Happen?
“In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.” —Genesis 7:11-12
Approximately 9,000 to 5,000 years ago in the northern Turkish province of Sinop, an event of spectacular historic magnitude took place. So spectacular, in fact, that some believe it represents proof that the “Great Flood” recounted in the Bible may have been an actual (though somewhat exaggerated) representation of real events.
In September of 2004, an expedition in the Black Sea by a team of scientists from various institutions (including the National Geographic Society) determined that the sea in question was not always as we know it today.
They concluded that it had originated from an immense lake of black water that at one point in history began to widen in an unusually rapid way. The change was so great, in fact, that inhabitants of the surrounding area were immediately obliged to search for more secure land, hastily leaving behind housing, tools, and other traces of their former lives.
This led the underwater expedition headed by oceanographer Robert Ballad to declare that there once existed human settlements that now reside more than 300 feet underwater. This startling Black Sea discovery not only contributed to a thoroughly enriched historical understanding of the serious alterations in water level suffered in the ancient Middle East, but also raised questions about what caused the alteration in the first place.
Since then, scientists and reporters continue to probe the unresolved issue; it is a key to understanding the historical development of human civilization and the different climatic stages that Earth has experienced. Furthermore, it is an important theme intertwined not only with the Judeo-Christian tradition but with many legends from different cultures around the world—the Great Flood.
The Black Sea: Proof of the Flood?
Contemporary hypotheses suggesting that the rapid growth of the Black Sea was a consequence of an incredible rainfall of planetary proportions has never received great sale. Based on a large framework of scientific laws, predominantly geological, which have been established on the basis of empirical observation over the years, makes this a rather improbable scenario.
In the first place, skeptical geologists propose that for such a flood to have occurred, we would find a similar stratum throughout the world covered with pebbles, sludge, boulders, and other elements. It is curious that this layer cannot be found, even more so when the flood narrated by the Bible had taken place in a time as recent as 3000 B.C.
Neither can be found the strata of fossils, with different animal and vegetable species occupying specific soil layers. According to flood logic, the animal remains of all species before the big flood (including the extinct dinosaurs) should be found today in only one stratum, without any distinction. But paleontology completely contradicts these suppositions.
Yet these examples appear to be only the tip of the iceberg comprising the arguments that refute a global flood. Even so, much of such reasoning is refuted with equal grace by the “pro-flood” scientists. In fact, descriptions like “all the sources of the great abyss were broken” or “the waterfalls of the heavens were opened” recounted in Genesis are backed up by hypotheses that, although incredible, are impossible to rule out as being incompatible with reality.

What intrigues me is the fact that none of the events spoken of in the bible can be disproved, sure you have your knockers and scientific model , but no real hard evidence one way or the other, a real test of faith against science.

Have any of you heard of the Younger Dryas Impact Event? It occurred about 12,800 years ago. At the time the Earth was just coming out of the last ice age and a huge ice sheet still covered parts of North America (the Laurentide Ice Sheet) as well as other ice sheets over Europe and Asia. The ice sheets had the equivalent of 300 feet of ocean water locked up in them.
One day a large comet in a sun-grazing orbit broke up into pieces and as it came back around the sun it smacked the Earth in several places on its way back out to space. The biggest hit was over North America. The pieces never actually made it to the ground – their energy of motion was converted to heat in an instant and that resulted in a humongous air-burst explosion. (Like what was recently seen in Russia, only much larger.) There were other hits, too. At least 2 other that we know of.
This North American explosion melted the Laurentide Ice Sheet and set ablaze all the forested land not under ice. It also created what is known as the Carolina Bays. The resulting melt water from the ice sheet increased sea levels 300 ft and set in motion the events known today as the Great Flood. It happened in a matter of days.
Ocean currents were disrupted and that started a cooling of the northern hemisphere. The huge conflagration also vaporized lots of water and that later came down as weeks and weeks of rain. All the smoke and water vapor created a nuclear winter type of scenario and that plus the ocean current disruption caused the climate to be plunged back into ice age conditions for nearly 1000 years.
At the time, an advanced civilization existed on the coastlines of the major continents and most of that civilization was destroyed. I guess you could say that was the “Atlantis” Plato talked about, but it wasn’t an island or continent in the middle of the ocean that sank, it was the continents as they are today but with sea levels 300 ft lower.
All this information has been hidden from mankind by the PTB for a long time. But, the PTB can’t hide things forever and that why this info is finally coming out. BTW, they are also hiding the fact that a race other than humans inhabited North America before the Younger Dryas event and are what the Bible calls giants.
They were a race of ET or ET/Human hybrids that had 2 rows of teeth and they stood 8ft or more tall. Some of these giants survived the flood as the Bible tells us and their remnants settled in the Middle East. Goliath was one of the last of this group.
So, did the biblical flood really happen? You bet! The evidence of the Younger Dryas impact event is no longer a secret and the facts fit perfectly with the biblical story.

I agree, the Biblical account has never been dis-proven. This article takes a few pot shots also. Saying there should only be one sediment layer that contains fossils is ridiculous. Sediments are laid down as current and water circulates in different patterns -the Biblical flood includes variable topography and landforms, water bursting from inside the earth’s crust, and incomprehensible amounts of precipitation. Obviously a cataclysmic event wouldn’t produce a slow, steady, uniform deposition of silt, gravel, sediments, vegetation and fossils all nicely layered uniformly (what utter rubbish of this author to say it would). The “rain couldn’t possibly cause a flood” statement is also fallacious, and based upon assumptions of uniformity. And, it is in fact, entirely possible to have two of every kind of land animal on the Ark for the time specified as they don’t all have to be reproducing adults and they would all be living in a very controlled environment eating a substantially reduce diet. People are so quick to hate on the Bible at all costs, even though time and history have supported the Bible over and over again.
Take it a step further from the above 2 posts, Human beings have been identified to have many “races”(even though Human being is the basis) such as Hispanic, Caucasian, Asian, African, etc. right? What about dogs? you have german shepherd, Labrador, poodle, wolf, coyote, etc. cows? Ox, bison, buffalo, etc etc. Back in the time that is spoken of in the book of Moses, these many many variations of these creatures’ parents did not exist. Genetically, these creatures all have ancestors that contained the DNA makeup of the combined genetics of these many different creatures that we can observe today, generations of experiences had not shaped the offspring into a myriad of varieties like we see today. There were substantially fewer varieties of creatures before the flood than we have today because the genetics were much more pure and living conditions were much more uniform across the board. Same goes for humans, there weren’t red, yellow, black and white humans on the ark, they were uniform but after many many generations and dilutions of genetics coupled with varying environmental factors throughout history since that time, today we can look around and see massive diversity that just wasn’t available at that time.

A flood did happen but the entire earth was not covered, just a lot of it. Noah is a name ascribed by the primates who wrote this much later version and could not pronounce Upnatishim. The fabled Geo. Column is the non-existent layer of strata that an atheistic evolutionist named Charles Lyell invented in the 1800s to date the fossils that were discovered within that particular strata. Evolutionists then use this same “Geo. Column” to date the strata that the fossils were found in. In other words, the Evolutionists date the fossils by the layer of rocks they are found in, and then they turn around and date the rocks by the fossils that are found in them! That is called CIRCULAR REASONING, and it is just one of the tricks that Evolutionists use to deceive the masses and to keep their mythological evolutionary worldview alive.

Don’t be silly, it’s a plagiarised story that originates from the area between the Black and Caspian seas. Nothing what so ever to do with the history of Israel. They were Egyptians slaves, not south Russians. The Israelites picked up the Genesis stories when Babylon destroyed them, which ended their 1st temple period, and took them into captivity in Babylon.
The biblical version is completely stupid. For a start it would be defying the laws of physics for a massive amount of water to suddenly appear from no where to cover the entire world, and then vanish without a trace. The bible claims it rained for 40 days and nights, they were floating about for a year, in which case they would need at least another 10 arks to house all the food and fresh water needed to keep that number of animals alive. The number of people involved would not be enough to feed and water that many animals. Large city zoos employ an army of people to just feed and water them. Not including the people who clean the cages out.
There is evidence of floods everywhere around the world, but they didn’t take place at the same time. There is no evidence of the biblical flood. The story also contradicts the biblical deities punishment for original sin, the gaining of the knowledge of good and bad, by then drowning everyone who hadn’t the knowledge. If it was the god of the garden of eden then surely he would have drowned Noah to return people to their original state of a lack of knowledge of good and bad.

When you call this book the “Word of God”, what portion of the book did “God” actually write?
Try as they might no one can disprove it did not happen. But ohh, how they will try because they hate God. And hatred makes one irrational.
