American Super Volcano

Not looking good. While everyone on the planet gawks and obsesses over Yellowstone, America’s “other” super volcano is experiencing earthquake swarms. It is not like this caldera hasn’t had swarms before. This one is different! The swarms started over 3 months ago and instead of them decreasing like they usually do they have actually increased. Still this is not enough reason to sound an alarm if it weren’t for the fact that these quakes are demonstrating activity above sea level, in the mountains! Thusly, the quakes must be volcanic.

In the region of Oat Mountain and Cahto Peak varying kinds of harmonics are being recorded on seismograms from vary fine, constant noise (steam event) to very real and obvious harmonic tremors in varying amplitude waves from very high amplitude waves to moderate amplitude waves

I might point out that these may be water events, but for them to occur in a super volcano and for them to occur where there is no known geysers then this signifies a change in the status of the caldera.

The other thing that works against water events or steam events is the fact that some of this “noise” is being registered on nearby seismograms which indicates a more significant event is occurring. Many of these harmonic quakes are occurring at sea level and 500 to 1,000 feet inside the mountain.

Stay tuned this is a fliud event and as of today even more harmonics are being seen throughout the southwest rim of the Caldera.
