SCOTUS Legalized Same-Sex Unions – Now What?

According to Supreme Court Justice Scalia, the most recent decision that will force all 50 states to recognize same-sex unions was made based on “reasoned judgment,” not the Constitution. While this is frustrating, it shouldn’t really come as a surprise simply due to the number of justices who lean left. The left is made up of people who have continued to show disdain for the rule of law under the Constitution. They’ve done this repeatedly through the use of emotional virtue (aka political correctness/Cultural Marxism). This is essentially what Scalia means when he says that the decision for same-sex unions was made based on reasoned judgment. The Constitution did not enter into the equation at all.

It’s the same thing related to the brouhaha over the Confederate flag and the decision to see that flag as something evil, racist, and bigoted. The problem of course is that the flag itself has nothing to do with any of these things. In fact, the symbols on the flag have more to do with warning the Federal government to stay away from the sovereignty of the individual states. The “x” symbol on the flag is what that means and the stars represented the early colonies and the individual states.

But the left’s emotional virtue is what they use to determine “truth.” In reality, it’s not so much that the left wants same-sex unions. The powers that be – in the form of the elite – don’t really care about that. What they care about is moving America as far away from its traditional foundation (which rest on biblical morals), as possible. This is easily proven because this same left will not come down on Islam’s propensity to execute gays for simply being gay. This same left allows Islam to proliferate throughout the world and the United States. There is only one reason they do and it is because both the left and Islam stand against the biblical foundation of America.

So it’s not that the elite are really concerned about seeing same-sex unions legalized and seen as law in all 50 states. That doesn’t matter to the elite since the elite already live the way they want to live. Nothing the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) decides affects them. The goal – and essentially the only goal – is to change America from within by moving this country as far off its original foundation as possible. Only then will the destruction of America become finalized.

Take a look at the chart included with this article. The elite has been attempting to wrest control of all aspects of American society and they’ve been doing it by forcing change within those areas. Ultimately, they want to create a Technocracy where regulators (technocrats) are in charge of overseeing all areas of that society. They ultimately want to do this worldwide and they are getting there. America though is a special case because of the fact that it is a Constitutional Republic. As such, the rule of law is governed by the Constitution. This is why the very fabric of that Constitution has been under attack for so long. The best way to attack it is to use “reasoned judgment” or emotional virtue because emotional virtue (a form of strong peer pressure) enacts change in spite of the rule of law. Eventually, these changes take effect in society and are seen as law.

As an example, the use of the executive order (EO) by the president is only really supposed to be effective within the confines of the Federal government as it relates to other alphabet agencies. Over the decades though (and EOs have been used for many decades by presidents), the scope of the EO has been broadened so that any executive order takes on the force of law. This should not be the case but it is the case.

Another example might be Sharia “no go” zones. This is where non-Muslims are told they cannot go because they are not Muslim. Non-Muslims who walk into those areas are seen as “getting what they deserve” because they did not respect the “no-go” zone. Yet, a person should be able to go anywhere they like, with the exception of places that are legally off-limits, like military bases, certain government buildings, and private residences and buildings. In the case of these latter examples, the law supports the off-limits idea. But certainly, a neighborhood is something that anyone should be able to go into (except secure, gated communities) and simply saying that “non-Muslims” are not welcome is actually a form of discrimination. Yet, in England, France, and even parts of the United States, Sharia “no-go” zones exist. In some cases, police will not even venture into those areas.

This is how things work in society to effectively change “policy” or laws even though laws will remain in effect. In other words, though there are “no-go” zones where Muslims are clearly discouraged from entering, the law does not recognize those “no-go” zones as being legitimate. That doesn’t matter though if even police officers will not go into them. The law has been effectively set aside in favor of the emotional virtue of “no-go” zones.

All right, here is where we are now. The SCOTUS has ruled that same-sex unions are now the law of the land. This is in spite of the fact that since the beginnings of human history until now, there has never been a civilization that has recognized same-sex unions. Clearly, homosexuals have been with us, but recognizing same-sex unions has never occurred. Even though the SCOTUS agreed that marriage has always been recognized as a union between one man and one woman, they said that the institution of marriage has always been changing. I didn’t read the entire argument, but from what I read, they did not explain or elaborate on how they felt marriage has always been changing. I’m not sure what that means except that ultimately, it’s just words.

With this most recent ruling, the door has swung open wide to homosexuality. But it isn’t just that either. If you’ve noticed, a certain level of corruption, evil intentions, and outright lies that have inundated society. In other words, things that used to be firmly done and said behind closed doors are no longer secret. Those things that used to be secret, when discovered, were dealt with by the rule of law. We know of Richard Nixon’s forced resignation because of his involvement in the Watergate crimes. When people learned of Watergate, they were completely shocked that a sitting president could be involved in something so underhanded. Public opinion quickly mounted against Nixon and he was forced to resign.

Segue decades later and we have all manner of illegal, corrupt scenarios taking place within the confines of our federal government that we actually know of, yet little to nothing actually happens to those involved. I firmly believe we have crossed a line. We have opened the door that we cannot now shut. We have literally invited evil openly into society. We’ve done this by ignoring the corruption in society (those elected officials who have refused to do anything about it), and now by watching the SCOTUS essentially saying that all 50 states will now recognize same-sex unions.

The fact that corruption has become so obvious yet nothing adequately pushes back against us should tell us that – since God is in control – confronting evil doesn’t work. God is allowing it to prosper and that should make sense to students of the Bible, who understand that this world will get to a point of being ruled as one, by one individual who will be fully indwelt and imbued by Satan. This will occur and in order for it to occur, things in global society will have to change to make way for that coming system that will rule the world, even for the short duration of 7 years.

There is no way that this world will be able to become that corrupt overnight. It has to happen in stages and that is what is occurring now and has been for some time.

I know there are many Christians who blame themselves for what has been occurring in society. The reality though is that we are not at fault. Satan is at fault and God is allowing Satan to bring his one-world government to fruition because prior to the beginning of time, Satan fell through pride. During that fall from grace, Satan promised among other things that he would become like the Most High (Isaiah 14).

Since that day, when Satan uttered those words, he has worked to bring those promises to fulfillment. God has allowed him and granted him the opportunities to do so, all under God’s timetable, not Satan’s.

Though God threw a huge monkey wrench into things with the Tower of Babel, when Satan was initially attempting to build his one-world government, apparently, God has allowed Satan to continue working since then. In spite of the concerted prayers and effort on the part of true Christians everywhere, God has simply said, “I hear you, but I’m saying no to your requests. Satan will be given his time to come against Me and for that to happen, the world will become one, ruled by Satan’s spiritual son, Antichrist.”

But, in spite of the travesties that are occurring in and throughout society, we Christians still have a job to do. That job is to spread the gospel message while it is still day. People still need to hear that gospel and be given the chance to embrace it. It’s called the Great Commission and it was given to us by Jesus Himself.

Regardless of what transpires in society, we are to be faithful to our calling. That calling involves telling the world about the only One who can save them.
