This site is losing credibility and professionalism as I watch the headlines roll by. I’ve been visiting this site now for a week or two and these are the lamest “before it’s news” news stories. You’re all just copycats and the comments are just regurgitated phrases and facts. Everyone wants credit for saying the same old things. How about originality? Put a piece together, connect a dot, or expose something new.
I did one story and it accounted for two news items that already existed, but my point was the timing of the events happening on the same day. Sorry to come off so critical, but I was hoping for something fresh and grassroots and all I’m see is something stale and sheepishly robotic. This is a call for grassroots investigative journalism, where truly the pen could be mightier than the sword in a compromised and corrupt main stream media.

Great posts, something that must rise to redemption on beforeitsnews. Something striking I’ve noticed around the web, of user names and avatars, is just about everybody with “truth” in their user name or avatar is a liar. Also, when they use the word “proof,” they never even have decent evidence. But this citizen journalism business is largely a crock, some articles with interesting or useful information, but they the exceptions. The rest is puerile slop, disinformation to titillate people into clicking, by people compensated for luring clicks. It’s, of course, a business model that leads to tabloid sensationalism and lala land, not truth.
In terms of advertising, you have to wonder how it makes sense, to try and attract revenue from what is largely a tin foil hat demographic? You can see in a lot of comments what are either teenagers or people not playing with a full deck, a lot of semi-literacy, doesn’t seem to me likely successful people with the wherewithal to buy goods and services. Maybe Alcoa could do a banner ad for aluminum foil, though. One does have to wonder about the state of human affairs when fact checking isn’t even required, when, one look at the headline, and you know it’s crap.
