“Today at the PSPC we met two Irish guys who were just about to catch a plane from their holiday in Turkey back to Ireland when they were arrested and threatened with some outrageously long prison sentence for allegedly being Alqaida terrori…sts, and allegedly plotting to blow up planes. All their belongings including their underpants were stolen and they were imprisoned for 3 days without food and water, denied the right to phone home, and of course denied evidence of their alleged crimes in the making. One of the guys suffered some kind of rupturing of his stomach and coughing and shitting blood from the stress of it, so I think that’s how he was allowed to go to hospital, and they were released without charge, but without getting back most of their stuff. One of the guys remembered one of his card numbers and was able to access some of his funds and book a flight back via London without getting blocked after having tried all other airlines and getting absolutley blocked from purchasing anything. So now these guys are on an Alquaida type watch list data base and Cooks travel agents told them they’ll always remain terrorists in their eyes, even though they’ve been released without charge Cooks don’t care. They asked fro help from the British Embassy in Turkey and ofcourse they were given the cold shoulder and told to get a lawyer.”
