New Delhi, Feb 24 (KNN) Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) and IILM Institute for Higher Education agreed to partner to establish an active collaboration covering various areas related to industry and academics and other areas mutually decided by the two institutions.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by DG and CEO of IICA, Bhaskar Chatterjee and Chairman of IILM, Anil Rai recently at the IICA campus in Manesar, Haryana.

“It is always a great pleasure to be associated with people who are managing reputed educational institutions and who literally make education their life. Good education amongst our youth sows the seeds of a great future for the country,” said Chatterjee on the occasion of signing ceremony.

He expressed his belief that there are many strengths that both the institutions can share with each other.

In his address, Senior Director, IILM Institute, Rakesh Chaudhry said partnership is inspired by their shared objectives in promoting and responsible management practices in industry, government, and academia through research, education and training.

“IILM has been conducting training programmes for IAS and IPS officers since 2004, for over ten years. IILM also conducts a number of training programmes for public sector undertakings and some of the leading corporates in India,” he said.

The Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) are a United Nations Global Compact initiative whose mission is to inspire and champion responsible management education, research and thought leadership globally. IILM is one of the 30 business schools from all over the world (and only one from India) who have been inducted as PRME Champion business school, he added.

Anand Rai, Prof Sujit Sengupta, Prof Rahul Mishra from IILM and faculty members from IICA were among others present at the MoU signing ceremony. (KNN/ST)
