The Danish cigarette market has registered near consistent decline since 2006 after seeing relatively buoyant growth during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Filter cigarettes dominate the market, accounting for 99% of sales in 2014. Per capita consumption rates in Denmark are higher than elsewhere in Scandinavia.
