Pinterest has launched a nifty new feature to enable its users to keep track of ideas, recipes and styles they have tried from pins on its site.
“So you’ve found an idea on Pinterest and brought it to life. Now what? Maybe you pulled off your first homemade Halloween costume, or you discovered those brownies were better with extra butter (no surprise),” Pinterest wrote in a blog post. “Today, we’re adding an easy way for you to keep track of all the ideas you’ve tried on Pinterest.”
If you have made, bought or visited something you found on Pinterest, you can now tap the new checkmark to indicate you have tried it. You also have the option of adding feedback, notes and photos to give other pinners some help on deciding if they should try it too.
Feedback from those who have tried a pin will be displayed right on the Pin itself, so if you are having trouble deciding if you should try that new casserole out, simply scroll down to see how others fared while making it. You maybe able to glean some tips from people who tried it before you.
All the Pins you try will “live in a new section on your profile,” Pinterest added in its blog post. “That way you can easily get back to things you want to try again—like your favorite cocktails or go-to hotel workouts.”
The ‘tried it’ feature is beginning to roll out today, and will be available to all Pinterest users over the course of the next few weeks. To get the new functionality as soon as possible, keep your Pinterest app up-to-date.
