Have you ever thought it would be a nice vacation for your family going to Disneyland? What about the cost? This article will introduce price examples for a family of four with two adults, one child less than ten years old and one child more than ten years old. We’ll also assume you plan on spending one week for your vacation (06/26/2017 to 07/01/2017).
HOW TO GET THERE
While there are special tickets for Southern California residents, let’s assume you’re going to fly your family round trip from Detroit, Michigan to Los Angeles, California. The cheapest fare will be somewhere around $1,700. Different fares are available from different airlines, but this is an estimate of what you’ll pay for the round trip flight.
Let’s also say you wanted to rent a car for your family. Because you’re a family of four, you want a car with good gas mileage and enough room for the kids and all your luggage. That would mean you will need a midsize car. This will run you around $300 for the week, not including the price of gas.
WHERE TO STAY
There are too many hotel packages to allow your family of four to stay on the cheap and sleep well. We found hotel packages around $1,100 for the full week you’d be gone. There are a few hotels cheaper, but your hotel will probably be close to this estimate.
While you can find a cheap hotel where you can cook your own meals, it makes more sense to eat while in Disneyland with evening meals at a variety of restaurants close to the park. We’ve estimated at $400 per day for food for your entire family.
Let’s assume you’ll need one day to get there and one day to leave. This would mean you would spend five days in Disneyland. There aren’t many discount Disneyland tickets outside of what you’d pay at the resort. We found five-dayDisneyland tickets for your family of four around $1,160. After five days, parents will be about at the end of their rope with Disneyland. Cheap Disneyland tickets may appear to be available when researching online, but almost all tickets are the safest and a good deal offered by Disneyland itself.
There is a Disneyland crowd calendar to help you plan your trip around a particular Disneyland event. However, we have found it difficult to research and, as a result, not really then helpful.
