(Before It's News)

Disney World in Orlando, Florida is actually a collection of four theme parks: Magic Kingdom,
Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. While you may return to the same theme park on the same day you leave, you cannot be admitted to another theme park without buying another ticket. We’ll use the example of a family of four with two adults and two children flying from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Orlando. Both parents work outside the home and both children are less than 10 years old. Departure date is 06/27/2017 through 07/01/2017.

To fly to Orlando and back to Philadelphia with one stop will cost around $400 for the entire family. Let’s say you would like to branch out a bit while you’re in Orlando and see a bit of the area. You’ll need to rent a car. To rent a midsize car will cost around $200 for the week.

Discount Disney World tickets can be bought at the gate to the theme park you wish to visit. There are also cheap Disney World tickets through Disney recommended ticket brokers. However, Disney World has approved very few ticket brokers and tickets bought from another ticket broker could cost you a lot of money with little to show for it. Cheap Disney World tickets may also be available from your travel agent. Some ticket arrangements for your one-week vacation are listed here:

  • Four Park Magic Ticket. This is a certain ticket that allows you to go to each of the four theme parks in Disney World for one price. For two adults and two children, the total cost for these tickets for your family is around $1,200. You cannot hop from theme park to another theme park or upgrade your tickets for more days. If you want to visit a particular park on another day, you’ll have to buy another ticket.
  • Four Day Magic Your Way. This base ticket will cost your family around $1,025 and allows limitless admissions to all four theme parks for the four day period.
  • There are other ticket plans for AAA members, military families, and other groups. Information on these can be explained by your travel agent.

All theme parks in Disney World will have blackout dates and special pricing depending upon the season and number of patrons. We recommend consulting the Disney World Calendar for more information on these issues.
