It looks like Elon Musk is serious about his desire to tackle urban traffic problems.
Musk on Sunday tweeted a picture of a cap for ‘The Boring Company,’ his new company to dig tunnels under Los Angeles.

A number of Musk’s followers replied to his tweet to ask for a hat.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO, back in December, tweeted about his frustration with traffic, stating his intention to start a new company to deal with the congestion in Los Angeles.
“Traffic is driving me nuts. Am going to build a tunnel boring machine and just start digging…” he tweeted. “It shall be called ‘The Boring Company.’ I am actually going to do this.”
Then, in January, he tweeted “Exciting progress on the tunnel front. Plan to start digging in a month or so.”
The tweets left many wondering if Musk was serious or just having a laugh on Twitter.
But the cap, seemingly, is further proof that Musk is moving ahead with his plans.
Initially, at least, his tunnel-digging project will aid only himself and his SpaceX employees. When asked where the first tunnel would be, Musk, in a tweet, said “Starting across from my desk at SpaceX. Crenshaw and the 105 Freeway, which is five minutes from LAX.”
According to a January Business Insider report, Musk has been talking to city officials for roughly one year about the construction of a tunnel that would permit employees to cross from the SpaceX campus to its parking lot across the street.
