Introduction

Have you been in situations in which clients you had considered to very good potentials that you have spoken to on phone or communicated with via email or by other means, end up not responding your proposals? Well, if you have been in such a situation, the best thing to do is to send a follow-up email to remind the client of your previous encounter or email.

It is not enough to assume that someday the customer would reply. You should be proactive. How long to wait before sending a follow-up email is a subject of debate. But what is not debatable is that you would need to send a follow-up email and do so on time.

Below are sample emails you can peruse and learn how you can effectively follow up clients.

Hi Zachariah,

Hope this email meets you well?

I was recently informed that your rival, Top Shippers just got an excellent contract with the United Nations Office at New York. We compared Top Shippers’ internet presence with yours in my last email. Do you think their website contributed significantly in their getting the contract?

Last year, some of our clients opted for a new approach for their email campaigns that gave their sales team higher success rates. It is a strategy you may want to adopt, it is simple and easy to implement.

Can we meet and discuss your website? If this is fine with you, let me know when it can happen?

Thanks in anticipation.

Best regards,

Daniel Fletcher

Hello Rosemary,

Hope you are doing fine today?

The last time we chatted on the phone, you asked that I contact you in January. Obviously, I am chatting you up a month earlier, but trust me, you would be glad I did.

What are your latest thoughts on the proposal? It would be a pleasure if we can discuss on the phone so that I can make a quick review and answer any questions you have on it.

How is your schedule at this time? Could you make out time for a brief chat?

Thanks.

Best wishes,

Michael Finns

Dear Thomas,

Hope your day went well?

Yesterday, two members of your team were perusing our product page for the week. I have attached the link to the page below.

This page they were looking at is on strategies for sales representatives who want to have accelerated rates of sealing business deals.

Could you give me 15 minutes to further discuss these strategies your team showed so much interest in? Would you like them to be part of this online meeting? If so, let me know when this would be convenient for you.

Thank you very much.

Yours,

Benedict Jonas

Dear Alice,

Hope this email meets you well?

My name is Joe. I recently emailed you a web design and a yearly maintenance proposal. I am checking to find out if you have had time to go through them.

I got your email address from your company’s website, it was the only visible one there. Would you want me to resend the email to the same email address or another?

Please feel absolutely free to ask any question regarding the proposal or any other thing regarding our services. It would be a delight to take your questions.

I am looking forward to your response.

Thanks.

Best wishes,

Joe Austin

Dear Patrick,

Hope this email meets you well?

A few days ago, I sent in an inquiry with some feature article ideas to write for your blog. I am checking in to verify if you had the chance to peruse the inquiry and determine if my ideas are in line with your prestigious blog. As I noted in the email, all my sources are in place for interviews and my initial research is ready.

Please do let me know if you have alternative ideas or additional suggestions to the titles I presented and will gladly do your bidding.

Best wishes,

Kobe Dwight

Hi Bright,

I wanted to follow up on the business proposal I sent to your email on 16 January 2017.

If you do not mind, I would like to have a quick chat with you on the phone to address your questions and concerns regarding the proposal.

I am available for a phone chat between 4 pm and 7 pm on weekdays. I am also available from 8 am to 8 pm on weekends. However, if these times do not fit into your plans, please do let me know so that I can work around your own schedule.

Thanks for your interest in our company.

Best regards,

James O’Connor

Hi Olga,

Hope your day went well?

I sincerely had fun chatting with you last week and learning more about how accountants like you handle the issue of multiple taxations that is rampant within the state. Many companies do not appreciate the effort you put into making sure that they do not go bankrupt as a result of this.

Like I noted in our conversation, I have attached additional information regarding the accountancy resources recently developed by my company and how we can assist you and your company to better manage your accounting system.

Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions about these resources or any other products or services that we render. It will be a pleasure to take your queries.

If you have no questions, then I look forward to chatting with you again at your own convenience but do let me know ahead what time is best for you.

Thanks again for this wonderful opportunity.

Best wishes,

Kimberly Scott
