LANSA Appoints Alison Henderson as EMEA VP Sales and Marketing to drive growth in its Low-Code Application Development Business

Alison Henderson has been appointed as VP, Sales and Marketing EMEA for LANSA (www.lansa.com). In her new role, she will drive growth for the Low-Code, Rapid Application Development Tools business, building on the company’s expanding software and consulting services operations in EMEA. 

Headquartered in Sydney, LANSA is a global provider of Low-Code Application development platforms for organisations building and modernizing enterprise applications for web, mobile, Windows and the cloud. LANSA’s cross-platform development product suite is designed to deliver a dramatic acceleration in the agility and speed of development through its single, easy to learn, development language. The solution eliminates the complexity inherent in web and mobile development. 

Prior to joining LANSA, Henderson spent 6 years at Excitor as International Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Before this, she held a number of senior management positions in sales and marketing during her 16-year tenure at Sybase, now an SAP company. 

Commenting on her new role, Henderson stated, “I’m joining LANSA at an exciting time. There is a dramatic spike in demand for new application development and modernization, as organisations move their enterprise systems to the web and to the cloud and extend them to mobile workforces. In mobile alone, Gartner estimates that the demand for mobile apps will grow 5 times faster than internal IT’s capacity to deliver them.

 “However, web and mobile introduce an exponential increase in complexity in application development. These projects require scarce, high cost ‘Full Stack Developers’ which have become the ‘Unicorn’ of our industry, and the lack of them is holding business back. LANSA’s, high-level, single language platform is a Low-Code solution to the challenge of resourcing such projects without the need for full stack developers.
