Alec Baldwin Arrested for Illegal Biking

Actor Alec Baldwin has been arrested in New York City for illegal bicycling. The 56-year old performance was taken to the station by police for traveling the wrong way down a street.

He was also cited for disorderly conduct. The actor allegedly became angry at police after being stopped, and started yelling. The incident was allegedly triggered by the officer asking the actor for identification, which he was not carrying. Police say Baldwin used profanity during his tirade.

The arrest took place on Tuesday, at the corner of 5th Avenue and 16th Street.

Police say that when the often hot-tempered actor was in the police station, he asked, “How old are these officers, that they don’t know who I am?”

In 2012, a New York Daily News photographer supposedly bumped Baldwin with his camera, and later accused the actor of assault. The celebrity was photographed in August 2013, pinning a journalist to the hood of a car. In November 2013, Baldwin chased a photographer outside his apartment in the city. He later apologized for the incident.

After he was released, the 30 Rock star took to Twitter to express his outrage.

He wrote “New York City is a mismanaged carnival of stupidity that is desperate for revenue and anxious to criminalize behavior once thought benign.”

Baldwin is scheduled to appear in court on July 24th.
