China vs. Brazil – Basketball Turned Full Court Basketbrawl

(Before It's News)

In a basketball match between China and Brazil in Xuchang, Henan province on Oct. 13, a friendly game turned into a full court kung-Fu match within just a few minustes after the game started.

Shanghaiist reported that when a Chinese player hit the floor with no foul called, China’s head coach, Bob Donewald, went balistic and actually said to the officials “You call yourself Chinese? What is this s#!&t?” at 00:49 of the clip (below).  Although I honestly did not hear any of that, I did hear some flying “F words” from Donewald later in the clip

With tempers already flaring on both sides, after play resumed, it quickly turned into an all out full court fist and kicking brawl with both benches pitched in.  Twenty minutes later, the Brazilians refused to return to the court, and the match continued as an intra-squad scrimmage.

The China Basketball Association has apologized afterwards, and the players have been ordered to take classes on sportsmanship with individual suspensions to follow.

Since this is not the first time Chinese athlets got into “full action” mode in international games, wonder if it’s roid rage or too strong the nationalism?
