Where is the humility? Tutu dishonors his friend Tata
Anglican bishops reveal how spoiled they can be when they don’t get their way

Anglican bishops have a tendency to pitch a fit and get their episcopal feathers ruffled when they cannot get their way. First in line are American Episcopal bishops, leading off with Vicky Gene Robinson (IX New Hampshire). In 2008, he was not invited to the XIV Lambeth Conference following his controversial consecration as the first practicing partnered and “married” gay bishop in the Anglican Communion. He went to Canterbury anyway hovering around the fringes of Lambeth making a spectacle of himself.

Next, again on British soil, there was Katharine Jefferts Schori who in 2010 carried her mitre in procession at England’s Southwark Cathedral because due to a 1967 civil law she, as a female bishop, was forbidden to wear her episcopal regalia including her mitre while ministering in Britain. The XXVI Presiding Bishop proclaimed that the ban was “bizarre” and “beyond bizarre” as well as stating that parliamentary rules were “nonsense.”
