My Angels and the War on Satan

I don’t know where to begin with the news cycle of this week.  First, there is a new mosquito-borne infection that comes from Africa that has already killed 155 people in the past year while infecting more than one million since spreading to the Americas one year ago.  There is no vaccine for this infection; and that in fact, there isn’t any cure for it.  The disease is called Chikungunya, which causes severe joint pain and inflammation in addition to headaches, rashes, and fever.  It is a tropical disease much like Dengue Fever.  There isn’t much that can be done to prevent the transmission of the disease except to limit the spread of mosquitoes through tropical areas of the Western hemisphere including Florida, where there have been 11 cases reported. 

In addition to this week’s news cycle has been the opening of diplomatic relations between the US and Cuba.  I see this as positive in that we can do a lot for the Cuban people who have been neglected by the US for 50 years. 

And we have seen what one small country can do to dismantle the movie industry in this country by issuing threats against theaters that show the movie “The Interview,” distributed by Sony pictures.  It seems that analysts are wondering how one movie company can refuse to release this potential blockbuster and cater to the whims of North Korea.  All a nation has to do is issue a 9-11 threat against a company that would publish or release material that a country or a group of people doesn’t like. 

I will say there will be MORE threats against us like Ebola and Chikungunya, in addition to more people NOT liking what is being said in books, movies, on the Internet, and other places where we pride ourselves in the freedom of speech.  I, for one, will NOT be silenced by ANYONE.  My thinking for myself is that if what I claim is true from my Angels is that we would be falling all over ourselves trying to get into heaven; I say I have nothing to lose by dying.  Really.  I also am not frightened by disease carried my mosquitos, nor am I frightened by anyone who comes directly from Africa.

No more than the two people are known to have died from Ebola in the US, but this doesn’t prevent Satan from his self-appointed task.  He is going to do what he can do to wipe out the world of humanity.  My thinking is and has been that if we value ALL Human Life we will do what we can do to make lives better for ALL; not just the wealthy who can afford healthcare and treatments.

I will NOT judge ANYONE for his or her beliefs, but simply state what I believe to be what God wants me to say.  I say too that God doesn’t give a damn about sexual sins that do no harm.  Bill Cosby can’t seem to keep his name out of the news with new revelations of drugging for sex by Kathy Lee Gifford.  I do NOT know what Mr. Cosby has done, but I don’t support rape.  I will let the courts and the court of public opinion continue to judge Mr. Cosby for these revelations, some which are new this week.  I will allow “consenting adults” to do whatever they wish to do, but I continue to say that God does NOT accept excuses for rape.

A lot is happening in this world.  I refuse to live in fear.  I know things will only get worse before they get better, but I DO see a LOT of Hope in this world.  Anything we do to make life better for people, no matter who they are, is what God would want us to do; otherwise, Satan is working overtime, but he won’t win the Great Battle.  Peace.  Brother Ralphie for The Angels of Life Institute
