Here then is the truth of this 3 days of darkness thing you speak of:
Search the Scriptures and you will not find a prophecy about 3 days of darkness with respect to the end of the age.
The New Testament proclaims that we “are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone” (Ephesians 2:20).
So part of our foundation consists of the apostles, who are animated by the testimony of Jesus, which is the spirit of prophecy (see REV 19:10). And nowhere in the Gospels or the rest of the New Testament do the apostles say anything about this so-called prophecy of 3 days of darkness.
Our foundation also consists of the prophets, of which our Chief Cornerstone, Jesus, said this:
“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”
—Matthew 5:17
The prophets Jesus referred to that He came to fulfill, are what today are commonly known as the Old Testament prophets, the books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Joel, and so forth.
So if our Savior and the Chief Cornerstone of our foundation was looking for prophetic truth in what Isaiah said, in what Jeremiah said, in what Ezekiel said, and so forth, where then should we be looking for prophetic truth?
Nowhere in the Old Testament prophets do you find a 3 days of darkness prophecy concerning the end of the age.
So when put up against the measuring line of the prophets and the testimony of Jesus, this 3 days of darkness thing utterly fails as a prophecy.
If anyone wants to go outside the prophets and outside the testimony of Jesus for prophecies, that is up to them. But they should take note of this:
“Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”

It’s true that so called “Christians” are being persecuted, but they will all be totally destroyed in the tribulation. With qualifications: Religions claiming to be Christian are actually Christendom, not Christian. There is a huge difference, since true Christianity precludes it’s followers from being part of ANY religion. The sects claiming Christianity are direct descendants from the Roman Church that Constantine created in the early fourth century, when he melded pagan and Christian beliefs, writings, rituals, and icons and idols. The Bible he created in creating this Roman Church is known today mostly as the King James version. However, almost all of the 38 English translations are very very close to Constantine’s half pagan half Christian Bible. His religion was renamed 70 years after it’s birth to the Roman Catholic Church. Now, let’s take a look at what the scriptures say about such religions.
