Republican U.S. presidential nominee Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton speak during their Oct. 9 presidential town hall debate at Washington University in St. Louis.

As a history major, Candance Attah understood the potential significance of the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton on Oct. 9 at the Washington University Field House.

“I kept saying to the rest of the students, 'Oh, my gosh, I can't believe we're even here,'” said Attah, a senior from Dallas. “This is just crazy to be a part of history, not only Washington U. history, but this could very well be the first woman president of the United States.”
